Victoria Beckham, creative director of her eponymous luxury brand, is sharing her fashion story exclusively on The Skype Collaboration Project—an online editorial hub that will shine a spotlight on the intersection between technology and the creative industries that it enables. Through this collaboration, Skype will provide exclusive inside access to Beckham’s world of design, highlighting the first five years of her company.
Specifically looking at the period leading up to the Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2014 Ready-To-Wear show at New York Fashion Week, Skype will enable access to key milestones in her business, a behind-the-scenes view of how the company is run, an introduction to the team that Victoria has taken with her from the start, as well as the industry collaborators who have joined her along the way. Beckham has given Skype’s team of filmmakers, designers, writers and coders access to her brand and her team to capture an entire season in fashion.
This will be the first move into fashion by Skype, and will take a unique approach in reciting the designer’s rise from international celebrity to a power player in the fashion industry. Throughout the project, Skype will be inviting you to engage directly with Victoria and her team via The Conversation Series where you can submit questions and take away inspirations to apply to your own journey. Look for Victoria’s story in January 2014 on skype.com, combining moving image, text, audio and photography, through which you can experience her journey from red-carpet icon to red-carpet designer.
