Kiehl’s famed Creme de Corps body lotion is one of our go-to products all year long, and with the increasing chill to the air, an extra layer of the hydrating formula does the body good. In time for the holidays, the beauty brand is taking an extra step to do even more good by teaming up with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. By purchasing a jar of the Kiehl’s Creme de Corps whipped body butter, you can take a step to end childhood hunger in the United States — up to $100,000 from all net proceeds will benefit the No Kid Hungry cause, which provides additional meals to children in need. One jar provides 380 meals, and in addition to the amazing cause it benefits, we’re also loving the festive drawing adorning the lid by 11 year-old Sofie Shore, daughter of Share Our Strength’s co-founder Debbie Shore. Pick up the Creme de Corps whipped body butter, available in either grapefruit or coriander, for $38 at kiehls.com.
The Hunger Games’ Costume Designer Trish Summerville Dishes on Dressing the Cast and Shares A Secret About J.Law’s Fall at The OscarsNov 20, 2013 @ 2:47 pm
It’s rare to find fresh-off-the-runway fashion in action-packed films, but, thanks to Trish Summerville, The Hunger Games series plays equally with action and Alexander McQueen. Summerville, who was awarded Costume Designer of the Year at the 2013 Style Awards, has been creating iconic pop culture looks for quite some time, including Christina Aguilera’s leather chaps getup in her Dirty video and Rooney Mara’s eerie-chic style in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The costume designer even told us she crafted the prominent biker jacket Mara rocks throughout the film. Summerville dished to InStyle on how she prepares to costume a blockbuster hit and how Elizabeth Banks morphs into character (above in a red-ruffled McQueen frock). Plus, she shared a tiny little secret on the graceful fall Jennifer Lawrence took in Dior Haute Couture on her way up to the Oscars stage last February.
You might wonder how A-listers walk the red carpet, interview, smile, and avoid the usual cracks that appear over time. The smoldering Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine, has just been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2013 and we couldn’t be more excited! The Los Angeles-born crooner has had a jam-packed year—a surprise June engagement to girlfriend Behati Prinsloo came while the singer was shooting his first feature film Can A Song Save Your Life?; he launched his men’s clothing line at Kmart this year and namesake fragrances for men and women; and he is currently dominating on his NBC hit The Voice. How did Levine take the news? ”As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” the singer told the magazine. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.” Levine, the first musician to top the annual list, thanks spinning and yoga for keeping his hot body in shape. As his success continues to skyrocket, it seems like there’s nothing this sexy man can’t do. ”This is just a really interesting time where everything seems to be heading in a certain direction,” Levine stated. “And I’m not taking any of it for granted.”
