If you need further evidence that rules were meant to be broken, look to Jessica Biel, who brought summery turquoise eyeliner right into the fall season last night at the Museum of Modern Art’s tribute to Tilda Swinton in New York City. To create her look, Biel’s makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua used Chanel’s Waterproof Liner in Jade ($30; chanel.com) along her bottom lashes. “We were inspired by Jessica’s dress from the Chanel 2014 runway, and wanted to create the look of a simplified, modern Egyptian Nefertiti,” Bua said. “I blended the liner below the lash line, outward to a point, and inside the inner waterline.” On a budget? We also love Urban Decay’s 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Electric ($19; sephora.com) and CoverGirl’s version in Aquamarine Ink ($7; drugstore.com), which both create similar effects. Follow Biel’s lead by keeping the rest of your makeup minimal, with slight definition on your top lid, and finish with a tawny nude lip. Since blue and green tones make such a big impact, playing with too many colors at once can create an overdone effect.
Unlike Saoirse Ronan’s punk character Daisy from the new future third world war and coming-of-age film, How I Live Now, Ronan showed off her chic side while donning a high-neck blue Camilla and Marc mini dress at the film’s premiere at ArcLight Hollywood Cinemas in Hollywood. “I think the style is actually really important for who [Daisy] ended up being,” Ronan said to InStyle during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. “Once we finally decided on the whole bleach blond look, the piercings, leather jacket, and all this really kind of hard stuff, it really helped me to bring her out because I hadn’t played a character like that before, so the whole physicality of her really helps.” The 19-year-old Irish actress plays a rebellious American teenage girl who is sent to stay with her relatives in the English countryside during a world war. She soon finds herself falling in love with her cousin Eddie (George MacKay), but when soldiers invade their home and the family becomes separated, Daisy has to fight for both her and family’s survival. Catch the film in theaters when it opens everywhere on November 8th.

See Jennifer Aniston’s Bobbed Haircut Up Close, and Get Exclusive Details From the Star and Her Hairstylists!Nov 6, 2013 @ 4:47 pm
It’s back to the bob for Jennifer Aniston! Today, the star’s hairstylist Chris McMillan shared a selfie of himself and Aniston, which showcased a closer shot of her sleek bob, seen first on InStyle. The reason behind her big change? “Honestly, I was bored,” she told InStyle.com exclusively, laughing. “We did a photo shoot and it was one of those things where I was bored with my previous look, and my friend Gucci [Westman] did my makeup — she had gotten a really cute haircut, so I got inspired by that. It was definitely time to get another cut since it’s been a couple of years.” If you’re suddenly feeling inspired to make the change as well, McMillan recommends asking for an A-line bob with no hard edges when you arrive at the salon. “We are calling this look the un-precious bob. The hair has long pieces in the front and is shorter in the back,” he told us. “It will honestly work on all hair types! If you don’t have wavy hair like Jennifer, you can use Living Proof’s Amp ($24; livingproof.com) to give it that piecy-ness. She also likes to put the Perfect Hair Day product ($26; livingproof.com) into damp hair, and let it air-dry.” In addition to her shorter length, her colorist Michael Canalé also upgraded her ‘do with new highlights. “I really made a point to emphasize extra blonde around her face and along the sides, about a quarter inch in from the hairline so it blended fluently with the rest of her hair,” he said. “We went for more of a baby blonde color as opposed to the sandy blonde color that she came in with.” We can’t wait to see the many ways she plans to style her new look with the upcoming awards season! “What I have now with the cut is fun, because it’s something different,” she added.

Did we miss the short hair memo? Only a few days after Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, and Pamela Anderson revealed their dramatic makeovers, Jennifer Lawrence has also joined in on the pixie trend, revealing her ultra-short crop today on her Facebook page. This marks the third major hair change for the Hunger Games star this year — in February, she went deep brunette to reprise her role as Katniss, and then cut her hair into a piecey bob in April. Similar to Chenoweth’s style, Lawrence’s also has long, sweeping fringe, with shorter layers in the back, as evidenced by the shot of her trying out the Google Glass device. We have to say, she certainly wears her new look well! A pixie cut makes a serious style statement in itself, and if anyone can pull off such a confident cut, it’s Jennifer. Do you like her new ‘do? Sound off in the comments.
