We have long admired the work of Mad Men makeup artist Lana Horochowski for her ability to create flawless ’60s-era looks (like Megan Draper’s mod eye), and now, the pro is lending her expertise for a cause! Horochowski has been named the national program ambassador of the Look Good Feel Better organization, a non-profit devoted to helping women with cancer improve their self-esteem. In her role, the makeup artist will teach survivors how to handle the appearance-related side effects of their treatment to reclaim their own natural beauty. “The beauty and power of the women I have met through the Look Good Feel Better program is astounding and humbling. It is amazing to witness a workshop and see first-hand the good this program does, and the impact it has on women with cancer,” she said. “That’s why I want to spread the word about this organization and this issue, so that more women can be helped, and more of my colleagues will be inspired to lend their time and talents to Look Good Feel Better.” We love it! In addition to participating in the workshops, Lana will also be promoting the organization’s mobile app, which includes a handy virtual makeover tool, and program attendees will walk away with new knowledge of pro-quality beauty tips.
