Marc Jacobs exits with a bang! As his last Louis Vuitton show as artistic director, Jacobs didn’t disappoint. InStyle Market Director Wendy Wallace called the elaborate spring/summer 2014 show “stunning.” The blackened set included a carousel, escalators, a fountain and a hallway of closed doors, “all referencing past sets of his most famous and memorable collections. Showgirls in mourning was the elegiac theme,” said InStyle Fashion Director Cindy Weber Cleary. After 16-years at the helm of the legendary luxury house, Jacobs will be concentrating his efforts on his own brands. One thing’s for sure, Louis Vuitton will never be the same.
