Fun fact: Francois Nars, the creator and founder of NARS cosmetics, was so taken by Guy Bourdin’s iconic images, that he decided to become a makeup artist after years of admiring them. What better way to pay tribute to his muse than with a collection inspired by the late photographer! Just in time for the holiday season, NARS is launching an extensive collection paying tribute to Guy Bourdin and his signature aesthetic. Since the ladies in Bourdin’s high-fashion shots weren’t ones to shy away from makeup, the lineup is appropriately filled with eye shadows, lipsticks, nail polishes, and palettes in bold, vivid hues. In addition to the bright color spectrum, we also love the fact that Bourdin’s iconic images appear on the packaging for the palettes and gift sets. Select products will be rolling out on October 15, with the rest of the range hitting narscosmetics.com and sephora.com on November 1. Can’t wait until then? When Taylor Swift isn’t performing onstage during one of her sold-out concerts or writing up her next hit single, she’s just like every girl who takes her favorite bag out on the town! The musician was recently spotted carrying her hunter green Christian Louboutin Farida Bowler handbag everywhere from day jaunts to post-workout sessions at the gym. The leather bowler tote features pockets on both the front and back of the bag, hand-rolled handles and buckles whose intricate engraving was inspired by ancient Moroccan jewelry, plus, lest we forget what makes it a Louboutin, the interior is lined with the signature red fabric. Although Swift’s green version of the bag is no longer available, you can snag the same tote in black for $1,895 available at barneys.com or at select Christian Louboutin boutiques. Bonus: You can also steal her leopard printed sweater in a similar color for $190 at wildfoxcouture.com.

Dancing with the Stars contestants Karina Smirnoff and Corbin Bleu went all out for last night’s Old Hollywood themed performance. The pair danced a quickstep to a retro tune, and Smirnoff hoped to incorporate the distinctive glamour from Hollywood’s golden era to their routine and costumes. “I immediately thought of L.A. Confidential’s Kim Basinger meets Veronica Lane or Lana Turner,” Smirnoff told InStyle.com exclusively. “There’s a soft, romantic, sophisticated feel with a touch of sassiness.”
Smirnoff wore a nightgown-inspired costume made out of chiffon, lace, and satin. She added sheer paneling, and outlined the dress with pearls and rhinestones, topping off the look with delicate baubles to complement the overall retro-glam feel of the performance.
Smirnoff and Bleu earned a 26/30, the second highest score of the night, right behind Pretty Little Liars’ star Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd. Bill Nye and Tyne Stecklein weren’t as lucky, however—they were eliminated this week, leaving a total of 10 couples in the ballroom.
Tune in next Monday night at 8/7c on ABC for the live results show.

Adam Levine‘s chair turns on The Voice aren’t the only things he’s focused on these days. Smack in the middle of his summer Honda Civic Tour with Maroon 5, the singer just launched his first men’s collection for Kmart, now available through shopyourway.com. The lineup is inspired by what he wanted in his own closet and therefore offers all kinds of dude-plus-rocker friendly items, things you’d find on Levine himself, like button-front shirts, broken-in jeans, cozy sweaters and hats emblazoned with the names of his favorite cities—Brooklyn, Long Beach, and Nashville included. “It’s all the basics,” Levine told InStyle.com in between tour stops at his New York preview last month. “I love the jeans. They are regular jeans—not skinny jeans and not butt-huggers. They’re normal dude jeans.” The pieces range from $15 to $70 for the clothes and $10 to $17 for the accessories, available now at shopyourway.com/adamlevine and at Kmart stores across the country. So, we pondered to Mr. Levine, what is the one item women should buy their men? “Everything,” he replied, “I love it all!”

It’s the cartoon sweatshirt everyone is talking about and wearing. Givenchy‘s black neoprene Bambi and female form print sweatshirt shirt has already been worn by Lily Collins, who styled it as a dress during the Givenchy spring/summer 2014 show in Paris, Amanda Seyfried modeled the sweater for the brand’s fall 2013 campaign, and now even Kanye West and Kim Kardashian‘s baby girl North has her own custom shirt featuring Disney’s most lovable white-tailed deer (see Kardashian’s Instagram above, inset). With fall officially here, sweatshirts are one of the season’s key pieces — even stylist Brad Goreski agrees — and now you can get your hands on the cartoon printed top, which can be yours for $1,375 at barneys.com. If that designer piece is out of your price range, shop more of our favorites — starting at $20.

Confession time: Hailee Steinfeld‘s long, shiny strands never fail to give us hair envy, and her new bangs definitely have us considering cutting a set of our own! Earlier this week at the Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles, the star showed off her wispy fringe, which hit right below the brow. The longer length allows the style to be worn in a variety of ways, and they even minimize the awkward growing-out period — once the bangs pass her eyes, they’ll blend seamlessly into the rest of Steinfeld’s layers.
