Naeem Khan‘s spring/summer 2014 collection was inspired by Frida Kahlo, with warm reds, extravagant beading and layers of lace. But the real kicker was when the designer surprised on-lookers when the mood changed, the lights dimmed, the music softened—and a bride (complete with a lace veil and bouquet of red roses) walked down the aisle-slash-runway in a look from his new bridal collection, launching October. “This is the first time that you’re going to see a bridal piece from me,” Khan told InStyle.com beforehand. “I’m closing my [Spring 2014] collection as I’m launching my first bridal collection.” Talk about busy!
