How To Truly Shop Like an Editor? Dig Into Our Closets!Aug 28, 2013 @ 9:55 am
We’ve spent the past few months combing our closets and purging once-loved items in order to create our very own designer boutique—to benefit one of our favorite charities—and it’s officially open for business today. We’re proud to announce of our partnership with Fashion Project, a highly curated designer resale (new or slightly worn) charity site, to offer up clothing, shoes, handbags, and more and a steep discount. For every purchase you make, 60 percent of the proceeds will benefit Girls Inc., an educational organization that helps mentor young women across the country on gender, economic, and social issues. So head over, check out our our 71 items up for grabs, shop guilt-free, and perhaps even get inspired to contribute, too. Not sure where to start? Pick up this month’s issue to check out our organizing story, “Conquer Your Closet” (p. 359) — also available for download on your tablet — and dig into your wardrobe for donations. Bonus: You can select the charity of your choice.
A sampling of items available, from top to bottom: Senior market editor Dana Avidan-Cohn’s Trina Turk dress, originally $379, now $95. Fashion director Cindy Weber Cleary’s Vivienne Tam cardigan, originally $580, now $75. Style director Melissa Rubini’s Prada heels, originally $1,450, now $595.
