Trying on hairstyles with InStyle’s Hollywood Hair Virtual Makeover tool just got easier thanks to the newly updated feature (currently only available on desktop devices) that lets you try on various hair types. Ever wonder what you would look like with natural curls, straight strands, or wavy locks? Now you can try them on — virtually of course! You can also search by different lengths and 13 hot hair trends like ombre, the pixie cut, and bangs, all before stepping foot in the salon. To get started, visit instyle.com/instyle/makeover, click over to the Hair tab and upload a high resolution photo of yourself with your hair pulled back (or select a model). Then, search for your perfect look by style, color or celebrity. (Drew Barrymore, Blake Lively and Olivia Wilde are just a few star styles you can try on.) Once you’ve found a hairdo you love, you can either save the look to show your stylist, or send a MakeoverGram to all of your friends so they can see what you’d look like with say, Anne Hathaway’s pixie cut. Happy hair styling!

The Hamptons was even more stylish than usual this weekend, thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney who hosted an English garden party for Goop in Amagansett, N.Y. on Friday. Unsurprisingly, both wore casual looks from the Stella McCartney Resort 2014 collection, and each looked chic in white and blue while celebrating Goop’s digital edition, a weekly lifestyle magazine that curates tips and advice to help readers feel inspired in all areas of life, from food to fashion. The pair also feted their upcoming Goop clothing collaboration, Stella McCartney x Goop, launching in September (though what exactly the partnership will entail is yet to be revealed). Between the twerking, dancing with teddy bears and blurred lines with Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus left no costume detail overlooked during her performance at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, right down to her embellished nails. The “We Can’t Stop” singer used Nails Inc’s Monogram Manicure to place black letters on the nails of each hand to spell M-I-L-E-Y. If you want to try the look, you’ll have to wait. The Monogram Manicure kit used to create the look will be available for $25 at Sephora stores and sephora.com at the end of December. It contains over 150 letters and characters in black and white, giving you plenty of options to personalize your nails. The kit also includes two polishes in cool gray and deep plum, a stick applicator, and a Kensington Caviar 45-second topcoat for sealing your nail designs. Not sure you’ll remember to order this come December? Luckily, you can pre-order the kit at nailsinc.com.

Loved Selena Gomez’s look at last night’s 2013 MTV Video Music Awards? It wasn’t just her peek-a-boo navy Atelier Versace stunner that has us looking—we loved her matching navy cat eye, too. Celebrity makeup artist Gita Bass was responsible for the look, and gave us the scoop on how to get it. For the singer’s popping peepers, she used Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in 3L ($19; sephora.com) and gradually layered the deep blue liner over and under the lash line, passing the outer corner of the eye to create a cat eye. Bass then topped off Gomez’s top and bottom lashes with two coats of Volume Effect Faux Cil Mascara by YSL ($30; sephora.com). To contrast the navy, she painted the lips a pretty pop of magenta courtesy of Tom Ford Lip Color in Black Orchid ($49; neimanmarcus.com), a perfect complement to the deep navy tones.
