Comic-Con was the place to be this weekend! Stars gathered at the San Diego Convention Center for a weekend filled with celebrities discussing and previewing their action, sci-fi, and adventure projects, and, of course mingling with the their die-hard fans. X-Men: Days of Future Past co-stars Anna Paquin (in McQ Alexander McQueen), Jennifer Lawrence (in Alexander McQueen), and Halle Berry were all smiles as they arrived to discuss the upcoming installment; Comic-Con first-timer Sandra Bullock (in Roland Mouret) made her debut at the preview of her new film Gravity, in which she plays an astronaut lost in space; and Emily Blunt (in Wes Gordon) and Tom Cruise met up on the carpet before manning the booth for their film Edge of Tomorrow, out next summer. Hilary Duff spent her Saturday afternoon hosting Fiji Water’s pool party in Sag Harbor, New York during a weekend getaway to the Hamptons (her first visit ever!) and she maintained her sun-kissed summery look with a fresh swipe of bright pink lip gloss. Turns out, the color was one of a free gift she picked up a Sephora after cashing in all of her preferred-shopper points. ”I’m a total product junkie,” she said. “I had 5,000 bonus points from shopping at Sephora so much, so I got to pick a few things out for free.” She had no idea one of her free picks, Sephora brand’s Shiny Pin-Up Pink lip gloss, would become an instant fave. ”I haven’t really bought any of their makeup before because I always go in there knowing what I want. I tried it, and I was like, ‘I like it!’” The ultra-shiny gloss is packed with shimmer to reflect light (perfect for extra sunny outings) and is made with moisturizer to keep your pucker hydrated. Shop it for $14 at sephora.com.

Comic-Con came to an end over the weekend, and if you dyed your hair to match your costume, you may be stuck with a vivid hue that doesn’t exactly translate into the corporate world — unless you’re Katy Perry, of course. Luckily, most Crayola hues fade quickly because of the large amount of color molecules used in the dye. Also, shampoos like Head and Shoulders ($9; drugstore.com) and Pert Plus ($4; drugstore.com) work wonders at removing unwanted tones. If your hair is heavily-stained, a peroxide shampoo bath may be your best bet. “When hair gets stained, the color goes into the cuticle and becomes hard to remove,” said Joel Warren of Warren-Tricomi Salons. “At the salon, we put low-volume peroxide in a gentle shampoo and soak the hair until the stain comes out.” No time to book an appointment before tomorrow’s big meeting? You can also try the same process at home. “Just buy a bottle of 20 volume peroxide, and add it to shampoo,” Warren added. “Keep checking every five minutes, wash out, then reapply if necessary.” Your hair color should fade significantly. But if you’re still dealing with unwanted rosy tints in your highlights, pull your hair into a top knot for the time being, and work with your colorist to nurse your strands back to their original shade.

Boy, oh boy, the wait is over! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their little one today at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London — a baby boy. The British Monarchy wrote on its Facebook page that the son was born at 4:24 p.m., weighing 8 lbs., 6 oz. The newborn will officially be known as His Royal Highness, Prince of Cambridge, and is third in line to the throne after Prince Charles and Prince William. The British Monarchy also posted a photo of the official Buckingham Palace written announcement on Instagram, in which you can read: “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.” Congratulations, Will and Kate!

Awards season won’t kick-off in Hollywood until later this year, but over in Italy both filmmakers and stars are being honored for their achievements at film festivals throughout the European country. Vanessa Hudgens (in Diane von Furstenberg) and director Baz Luhrmann were presented with awards at a special dinner during the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival in Naples. Lhurmann received the Luchino Visconti Legend Award for his impressive directorial career, while Hudgens took home the Global Icon Award. Further south in Giffoni Valle Piana, Jessica Chastain (in Dolce & Gabbana) picked up the Giffoni Experience Award, which is dedicated to international stars, at the city’s 2013 film festival. Olivia Wilde has no shortage of humor in her life—she’s engaged to funnyman Jason Sudeikis and has appeared in shorts for SNL—and her Twitter feed is no exception. Just today she Tweeted about the Royal Baby: “I don’t understand how I’m still doing phone interviews when Kate Middleton is in labor. Don’t they have to go cover the crowning?!” That’s why we asked our August InStyle cover girl who her must-follows are on the social stream. ”There are a few people I always read on Twitter,” she told InStyle.com in this behind-the-scenes video. “I love a lot of the great comedians.” Watch the video above to find out exactly who runs her Twitter favorites. We might not live like a celebrity, but we can see what it’s like thanks to stars posting their private moments on Instagram. This weekend, Miley Cyrus posted her massive lunch delivery; Kathy Griffin posted a powerful shot of Beyonce and Jay-Z with Al Sharpton and Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton; and Lena Dunham‘s candy spread had us craving a Snickers bar. Comic-Con is known for attracting the most dedicated, fearless fans who dress up in costume. But among the Superwomans and Spider-Mans and Katniss Everdeens at this year’s event, there were also designer pieces by Versace, Proenza Schouler, Wes Gordon, and more trudging through San Diego’s Convention Center. Stars left their done-up, straight-laced ensembles at home and opted for playful styles, embracing prints and midriff looks with complete abandon to promote their new sci-fi, fantasy and action flicks. One trend we spotted: Micro shorts as seen on Nina Dobrev (in Sachin + Babi), Lily Collins (in Paper London) and Elizabeth Olsen (in Balenciaga), who styled them with mixed prints, trapeze tops and cropped tanks.
