Hop on the yoga train and get a ticket to inspiration station: Celebrity yoga instructor Mandy Ingber, the fitness genius behind Jennifer Aniston and Kate Beckinsale’s impressively fit figures, just released a new book to help you get a body like the stars. Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover ($20 at amazon.com) puts her years of experience shaping and sculpting some of the most enviable bodies in Hollywood into one place with a step-by-step program outlining four weeks worth of poses, recipes, diet plans, and more. “If you pair this routine with a diet plan for 28 days you will see a result,” Ingber told InStyle.com. Ultimately, her goal is to make readers love and accept their bodies. “You don’t have to lose five or ten pounds to start loving your figure,” she said. “We can actually get into shape by loving ourselves and accepting the bodies that we have. Start off being grateful and use fitness, diet, and exercise as an expression of that gratitude.” Click to get an inside look at the book.
Because it’s #ThrowbackThursday, we’re taking a retrospective look at one of the sexiest hairstyles of the ages—Brigitte Bardot‘s volumized waves. The star’s lush texture and added height at the crown is a look that transcends time barriers. Recreate the look on yourself by starting with damp hair, and spritz a volumizer like Sally Hershberger’s Supreme Lift ($13; sallyhershberger.com) onto the root area. Blow-drying your hair upside-down maximizes body at the crown, so flip your head over and blast your strands with the dryer until most of the moisture is out. Once your strands are 75% dry, flip your head back over and continue blow-drying with a round brush to smooth out any frizzy areas. Wind sections around a large-barrel curling iron like Conair’s ($45; ulta.com) for extra movement, then place each piece into a velcro roller to set. Once you’ve covered your entire head, give each curler a final blast of heat with your blow-dryer to lock in the shape. After your hair has cooled, take out the rollers, give your strands a tousle, and you’ll be left with sexy Bardot-esque waves.

The wait is over! In November, the boys of One Direction announced that they would launch a women’s fragrance, and today was the big reveal of their first scent, named Our Moment. The boys definitely built up some anticipation around it—Directioners were going wild as they teased the fragrance in parts via Twitter, just moments before the big unveiling at the top of London’s famed Gherkin skyscraper. “It’s been a long and exciting process, and we’re really proud to have made a One Direction fragrance,” Harry Styles said of the grapefruit, red currant, and jasmine blend. “I’ve tested it on my family and they love it!” Niall Horan added. “We can’t wait to show it to our fans across the world.” Our Moment hits Harrods in the UK on August 25, and arrives stateside this fall for $60. Tell us, would you try it?

With balloons animals and carnival rides at the ready, it was no surprise there was endless smiling at Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld’s annual Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash, held at the Victorian Gardens amusement park in Central Park in New York City. “I think everyone is having fun!” busy host Jessica Seinfeld (in Alice + Olivia) told InStyle.com as she ushered celebrity guests like Debra Messing and Mariska Hargitay into the park, where there were kid-friendly activities like face painting and arts and crafts to try and summer treats like hot dogs, hamburgers, and s’mores to munch. The event helped raise money for families without basic child-care necessities who are part of over 50 community based programs supported by Baby Buggy—a cause new mom Molly Sims (in Isabel Marant) is happy to throw her support behind. ”You realize how important it is,” she told InStyle.com on the charity’s work. “If I didn’t have diapers or formula or bibs or the necessities, it would just be awful, and that’s the sort of thing you start to think about.” To learn about Baby Buggy, visit babybuggy.org. Yoko Ono just debuted her latest new activism-inspired art project—and it involves you. The artist launched ARISING, a crowd-sourced art and awareness initiative that aims to empower women to speak up about the struggles they face just for being women. She pulled together written testaments and images of just women’s eyes for the installation, which went on display starting June 1 within the Personal Structures exhibit at the Palazzo Bembo in Venice, Italy (through November 24th). And you can still get involved: Send your personalized written testament with a photograph of just your eyes to email@example.com to be a part of it. Learn more at imaginepowerarising.com.

The hairstyles at last night’s CMT Awards challenged country music’s reputation for over-coiffed updos. Rather, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Kristen Bell, and Carrie Underwood all strode into the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with effortless down styles that packed a dose of surfer girl appeal. While Underwood and Lambert opted for defined waves, Swift and Bell went the natural route with soft, tousled looks. The easiest way to get the look is to spritz a texturizer or beach-waving spray onto damp strands, then let your hair air-dry to enhance your own texture. We love Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray ($25; bumbleandbumble.com), which became such a cult favorite that the brand launched a coordinating shampoo and conditioner ($25 and $24; bumbleandbumble.com). If you prefer a more defined wave, loosely wrap sections of hair in alternating directions around a curling iron, then wait until each area is completely cool before you give your strands a tousle.

Jason Wu‘s latest launch is for a good cause! The designer teamed up with his artist pal Nate Lowman to create this limited-edition T-shirt to raise awareness and funds for ACRIA, an organization working to offer healthcare and consulting to those affected by HIV and educate people about the disease. The non-profit has been active for over 20 years, and the cause is a special one for Wu—he’s currently a member of its Young Friends of ACRIA group, which actively works to engage supporters under 40 in the fields of design, media, and arts.
