Who knew stars like Kristin Davis (in Dolce & Gabbana) and Minnie Driver (in Shoshanna) liked to brown bag their lunch every once in a while! Celebrities gathered at the 10th Annual Bag Lunch in Holmby Hills, California to munch on gourmet brown bag lunches filled with salads and sandwiches and bid on donated designer bags to help raise money for P.S. Arts, an organization that provides arts education to children in under-privileged communities in Southern and Central California. Hosted by celebrity stylists Elizabeth Stewart and George Kotsiopoulous, the event drew in over 200 guests including Shiri Appleby (in Giambattista Valli), Katie Lowes (Theia), and Amy Rosoff, who mingled in the gorgeous estate. “I love this event because there are all of these expensive bags we would normally be buying,” Davis told InStyle.com. “So you kind of feel like you can splurge and buy things you wouldn’t normally buy because all the money is going to P.S. Arts. And that’s pretty rare.” The event raised over $150,000 with all the proceeds benefiting P.S. Arts. Winning bidders not only took home a designer bag, they also received a bounty of beauty from brands such as Dior Beauty and Smashbox. Congratulations Stacy Gambocarto, you’re InStyle.com’s Reader of the Week! Channeling this spring’s modern minimalist trend, Stacy’s cobalt dress and sleek accessories landed her in this month’s “Inspired By InStyle column.” (Check her out on page 42 of the June issue.) “I fell in love with the two-piece Michael Kors ensemble that Jaime King wore in ‘World Gone Mod’ and wisely heeded Rachel Zoe’s styling advice by adding a metallic belt to my monochromatic dress as an embellishment,” Stacy told InStyle.com.
Be our Reader of the Week! If one of our stories has inspired you to mix it up, send us a pic (300 dpi or larger) of your transformation to email@example.com. You could be featured in InStyle and InStyle.com!

Pastels have been a big hit for spring, and the sherbet-hued shades are continuing their popularity into summer—just ask Olivia Palermo! The trendsetter told InStyle.com at Piperlime’s BFF Night in New York City that her favorite hue to wear in the summer is…”Mint!” We couldn’t agree more, which is why we rounded up 19 mint green products, including beauty products, accessories, and clothes (even a pair of pants hand-picked by Palermo). The magical thriller Now You See Me, in theaters nationwide today, centers around a team of four illusionists known as the “The Four Horsemen”—played by Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco—who are recruited to pull off a series of daring heists, and all with agents from the FBI and Interpol (Mark Ruffalo and Mélanie Laurent, respectively) fast on their trail. “The movie is such a great ride,” Ruffalo told InStyle.com at the movie’s world premiere in New York City. “It’s got everything! It’s got the car chases, the fights, the explosions, humor, love, and a really great twist at the end. So it’s really a good trip.” A sentiment director Louis Leterrier echoed. “The whole movie is a big magic trick, so it’s fun on many levels,” he said. “These guys are just so funny. It’s a great time in the movies.” Sounds like the perfect summer flick. Click here to see where it’s playing near you.

We know the trials of searching through our handbags for the perfect lip color all too well, and so does Kristin Davis! The star had to get ready in a hurry for the P.S. ARTS Bag Lunch in Holmby Hills, CA, but thanks to some quick thinking and a lucky lipstick find, her neutral pout perfectly balanced her graphic dress. “It’s one of those things where the dress is so bright, and I’m jetlagged, right?” she told us. “So I’m digging in my bag like, what do I wear? Do I wear color? Do I wear nude?” Davis ultimately decided on the latter, choosing Shu Uemura’s Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine in 957. The tawny nude amps up your natural lip color with a faint rose tint, and holds a non-sticky shine that’s perfect for summer. Shop the color for $30 at shuuemura-usa.com.

With the hundreds of gowns that graced the Cannes Film Festival red carpet this year, which ones looked best? Who better to ask than celebrity celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart. “There are so many [I loved]!” she told InStyle.com at the P.S. ARTS Bag Lunch in Holmby Hills, California yesterday, an event she co-hosted to raise funds for the non-profit children’s arts education organization P.S. Arts. But when forced to narrow it down, she chose Freida Pinto’s coral Gucci gown and Jessica Chastain’s beaded violet Givenchy design. While Stewart put the stars in these two looks as their stylist, that’s not the only reason they rose to the top of her list. Here’s why:
“It was just so her,” Stewart explained. “This incredible bright coral with this cool belt and it was just a very Frieda moment.”
“The purple on Jessica was just so hard to pull off and she pulled it off so beautifully and it’s just this incredible, one of a kind, custom-made dress,” said Stewart. “She just looked perfect in it.”
