Last night’s episode of Dallas, “Guilt and Innocence,” marked the beginning of Emma’s (Emma Bell) transformation into a rebel, and costume designer Rachel Sage Kunin made sure her costume showcased the pivotal moment. “Emma is transitioning from a sheltered good girl into a rebellious character who has a few crosses to bear,” Sage Kunin explained to InStyle.com. “This cranberry, short-sleeve fitted sweater was an intentional choice to start showing off a more alluring side. As Emma comes into her own, clothing will reflect those changes.” We can’t wait to see what she wears next! Click for more looks from last night’s Dallas.
Sofia Vergara has gone back to her sunny roots! The star debuted her light hair color on her Instagram today, and although she sports a deep chestnut hue on the big and small screens, her latest ‘do is a more organic take on her look. “I’m a natural blonde,” Vergara told InStyle previously, admitting that she made the swap for a screen test over a decade ago and never looked back… until now. Although the change is dramatic, the star keeps her strands healthy by adding variety to her hair routine. “I use a different shampoo every day depending on how I want my hair to look,” she added. “I probably have eight bottles in my shower!” Now that’s what we call being well-prepared. Do you like her new look?

We love Amy Adams style! She’s “the master” (get it?!) of knowing what does and doesn’t work for her—a trick she picked up from her stylist, Cristina Ehrlich. “The thing is with her, and some of my other clients I’ve worked with for a long time, is that you can really the choices that we’ve made are streamlined and very clean,” the stylist explained at the New York announcement of her Guest Stylist partnership with Coldwater Creek. “You can just really see that she’s wearing the dress and that she feels confident in it. They’re all really done proportionally.” And this goes for her range of looks, from solid colors to peplum to prints (from left: floral-printed J. Mendel, an emerald sheath, two-toned Vionnet, and polka-dotted Jenny Packham). Your lesson: “[It’s about] going for a very timeless and classic sensibility,” the celebrity stylist advised. “It’s very straightforward and it’s very clean, so I think that’s why with Amy these looks really worked.” Try it tomorrow!

Fresh on the heels of OPI‘s Skyfall-inspired collection, the nail brand is looking to James Bond once again to launch a six-piece nail polish range based on the franchise’s most-memorable vixens. “It has been a thrill to create color for the women who have captured Bond’s attention over the last six decades,” said OPI co-founder and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “Worn without a top coat, these Liquid Sand lacquers give nails a pebbled, matte finish worthy of captivating the Bond girls’ name.” The shades range from the Ursula Andress-inspired gold to high-impact brights, and we love how each polish imparts a fashion-forward matte effect in just one swipe. The Bond Girls collection hits stores in May for $9.50 per bottle—but you can get a sneak peek at the entire lineup right now in the gallery.
Karina Smirnoff had one inspiration in mind when designing her outfits for this week’s Dancing with the Stars routine with Baltimore Ravens star Jacoby Jones: JAZZ. “The plan is to incorporate purple into every costume, but my goal this week was to make sure these outfits brought us back to the origins of 1950s jazz,” Smirnoff told InStyle.com of the yellow plaid trousers and fedora-topped ensembles she created to dance to Louis Jordan’s “Five Guys Named Moe.” And she did incorporate purple, too—the trench coats they wore to start the routine came off to reveal purple suspenders that represented Jones’s team. “I loved that we were able to maintain the masculine and feminine feel to the costumes even though they so closely resembled one another,” Smirnoff told InStyle.com. The pair scored 23 out of 30 for their energetic performance, but is it enough to make the next round? Find out during the live results show at 9/8c tonight on ABC.

Kristen Bell has been making headlines for the Veronica Mars movie that’s about to happen (courtesy of Kickstarter), but we think her chic maternity style is just as newsworthy! And when we spotted her at Ashlee Margolis’ shopping soiree, she revealed that the trick was a complete style makeover. “I’ve worn tighter clothing throughout my pregnancy than I ever have non-pregnant,” said Bell, who went from empire waist Jenny Packham earlier this year to fitted tees like this one. “I love something to contour the bottom of my bump. I think it makes me feel smaller.” And she suggests accessorizing, too: “[I like] statement necklaces, because they drive your eyes up. That’s been a helpful trend for me.” One that keeps things stylish, too!

Portia de Rossi helped celebrate wife Ellen DeGeneres in Australia last night, where Ellen attended a big welcome party thrown in her honor. The talk show host is visiting the land down under to film special segments of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, marking the first time her show has ever traveled outside of the U.S. Ellen is filming the show on a large sound stage near the Opera on the Harbour, surrounded by the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens.
