If you plan on stepping out to brunch this morning—and maybe stopping by your favorite jewelry store on the way—consider this hairstyle: Breakfast at Tiffany’s star Emilia Clarke‘s ’40s-inspired updo, a look created by hair maven Umberto for the star’s stage look. “Audrey Hepburn‘s hair in the film is one of the most requested looks in the world, but when I found out it was set in the 1940’s, I knew we could create something just as elegant and beautiful,” Umberto told InStyle.com. “We gave Emilia an elegant chignon in the back with a soft waveline on the face. It was so easy; all you have to do it roll it up and pin it.” But just in case you aren’t armed with Umberto’s expert fingers, we asked him to break it down a little more for us: Add a drop of Roman Oil Serum ($13 at target.com) to dry hair to make it smooth and shiny, and to eliminate the frizz. Use a flat iron to create the signature ’40s “C” wave around the face, then roll the rest of your hair into a bun at the nape of the neck and pin. Finish with a spritz of hairspray to keep it all in place. Happy window shopping!
