Mariah Carey is at it again! In between her roles as American Idol judge and mommy to twins Moroccan and Monroe, the superstar found time to create her twelfth scent, Mariah Carey Dreams. The latest addition is a gourmand blend of salted caramel apple, toasted almonds, and honeysuckle, topped with a trio of Mimi’s favorite animals, butterflies. “The process of developing a fragrance is exhilarating and it takes me to another place within my creative self, which is why I enjoyed creating Mariah Carey Dreams,” the singer said of the fragrance, which is sold for $49 at kohls.com. “I humbly call myself a ‘perfumer in training’ because I love it so much—almost as much as I love making music!” And her passion shows with an impressive library of butterfly-themed perfumes under her belt. Salma Hayek’s New Favorite Accessory: A $5 Necklace That Supports Domestic Abuse Awareness Programs

Mar 7, 2013 @ 2:40 pm

Salma Hayek teamed up with Avon almost 10 years ago to speak out against domestic abuse—and this year, this is the necklace that’s helping her spread the word. The piece is Avon’s latest Empowerment Charm Necklace, which only costs $5 and comes with a resource pamphlet. “This necklace works two ways,” the actress told InStyle.com (while wearing the charm) before presenting the 2nd Avon Global Communication Awards at the United Nations this afternoon, which honored campaigns that have spoken out against women’s violence around the world and served as an early celebration of tomorrow’s International Women’s Day. “By buying it or wearing it, you help the cause, but it also has the infinity symbol on [the charm] to remind you of the infinite potential you have as a woman—especially when we stick together.” All profits from the necklace support Avon’s awareness programs; visit avon.com to pick up yours today.
