Derek Lam’s DesigNation Collection for Kohl’s: See Our 10 Favorite Looks!

Feb 26, 2013 @ 5:11 pm

Derek Lam’s DesigNation collection for Kohl’s may not hit shelves for another month, but we’ve got a sneak peek of the upcoming line! Inspired by a trip that he took to Rio de Janeiro, the collection embodies the spirit of the South American city. “It’s really exciting, what’s happening with Rio right now. With the Olympics, it’s very modern,” Lam told InStyle.com. “It’s such a sensual city, so I thought that would help me step outside the box of what I usually use as an inspiration.” Filled with bright colors and bold patterns, the collection combines the feel of Brazil with his classic feminine aesthetic. “I really played with prints to give texture and life to a summer collection,” Lam continued. “But the denim dress (right) is one of my favorites.  It’s just the perfect piece that everyone wants, and it’s in this great eco fiber!” Shop the entire limited-edition collection (priced between $36 and $88) when it arrives in stores and online at kohls.com April 5th, and click through the gallery to see our 10 favorite looks from the collection!

Runway Looks We Love: Giorgio Armani

Feb 26, 2013 @ 4:45 pm

In stark contrast to the curvaceous, sparkling numbers Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts wore to Sunday’s Oscars, Giorgio Armani sent a decidedly more masculine collection down the runway. Blending menswear elements with feminine frills, the mostly black and blue lineup balanced suspenders and suiting with ruffles, pleats, and bows. The eveningwear, which ranged from plunging silk columns to rich velvet gowns and even sequined jumpsuits, definitely gave us something to look forward to at next year’s awards. See our favorite looks in the gallery!

Oscar Winner Jennifer Lawrence Models for Dior: Behind-the-Scenes

Feb 26, 2013 @ 4:22 pm

Oh, to be Jennifer Lawrence! She picked up a Best Actress Oscar Sunday night—while sitting two seats away from her handsome co-star Bradley Cooper—and she got to do it in a pale rose Dior Haute Couture princess dress. Not to mention she stars in the ultra-glamorous shoot for the brand’s Miss Dior handbags, a behind-the-scenes peek at which Dior just released. “Dior represents beauty and strength in women, and that’s how I feel when I’m wearing his clothes,” Lawrence said while posing with the brand’s pastel chain totes. “It just makes you feel so confident.” Our girl crush is firmly cemented.

What about you? Are you a bigger J-Law fan post-Oscars?
