Mixing equal parts punk and folk rock, gray shadow and tousled layers reigned supreme on the runways of Marc Jacobs‘ New York Fashion Week show. “It’s Joan Jett meets Marianne Faithfull meets punk rock,” said lead makeup artist Francois Nars. We’re sure the choppy shag cuts did Ms. Jett proud, and we also loved the touch of retro glamour held by the smoldering eye.
