Emmy award winner Lisa Ling has a new reality show: The Job on CBS. In each episode, five candidates participate in several rounds of elimination challenges to compete for dream gigs at fabulous places, like Epic Records, Major League Soccer, and Gilt. And with a show based on being office-ready, Ling upped her work attire, thanks to the show’s stylist, Nicole Young. We caught up with Young to get the inside scoop on Ling’s polished-but-edgy wardrobe, which includes a mix of contemporary pieces, plus a few custom dresses from Young’s eponymous label (other celeb fans include Rachel Zoe, Gabrielle Union, and Joy Bryant). Click “See the Photos” for more details and check out The Job on CBS tonight and every Friday at 8 p.m. EST.
Paul Rudd has held a soft spot in our hearts since he played loveable Josh in the cult classic, Clueless, almost 18 years ago, and we caught up with the star of Admission (out March 22nd) for our March Man of Style feature. One fun fact the 43-year-old shared? He loves karaoke! “In New York there are a lot of karaoke bars where you can rent private rooms,” he said. “I have a couple of buddies—male friends that are die-hard karaoke enthusiasts like myself—and we get a private room and sing, just a group of dudes.” Sounds like a fun guys night out to us! Helmut Lang designers Nicole and Michael Colovos called upon shoe designer Tiffany Tuttle of LD Tuttle to put the finishing touches on their Picasso-inspired fall 2013 collection footwear—and Tuttle gave InStyle.com a sneak peek at her design process! “We focused on morphing geometric shapes and piecing them together, and the graphic lines and cutouts come from this concept,” Tuttle told us of these lace-up, cut-out booties, which debuted at New York Fashion Week, along with calf-hair covered boots, electric blue heels, and bright winter white pumps. “The shoes work off the clean lines and minimal-but-strong look that Nicole and Michael Colovos created for Helmut Lang.” Add these to your fall shopping wish list!

New York Fashion Week ended last night with a Harvest Moon sunset at Marc Jacobs‘ finale (leave it to MJ to end with a bang!). And while we’ll have to wait until fall to see (most of) these new designs in stores, we have your first look at all the fashion, all the beauty, and the celebrities who came to see it all this week in this Cheat Sheet to Fashion Week. Click through to see Olivia Wilde and Jessica Chastain at Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren‘s Anna Karenina gowns, Jacobs’ gamine makeup, and the hottest news to come straight from the runways!
Marc Jacobs closed out New York Fashion Week on a bright note. Not only was his harvest moon set the most striking we’ve seen all week, but the clothes were equally as dazzling. Always the showman, Jacobs had his 55 models walk the runway not once, but twice—first in semi darkness (with only silhouettes visible, not actual colors), and then again with the lights on so the beautiful shades of blush, blue, and metallics could be fully appreciated. Texture stood out, from plush fur to shimmering silk, as well as the strong evening offering, including sheer, sparkling dresses and fur-topped gowns we can only hope to see on the red carpet. Models rocked sky-high heels and versatile chain-strap bags—the perfect offering of wear-to-work accessories. See our favorite looks in the gallery!

Kate Bosworth and Demi Lovato turned out to the grand opening of Topshop’s Los Angeles Topman store at The Grove, where The X Factor judge celebrated one of her favorite clothing brands. Celebrities at the British brand’s soireé enjoyed a photo booth in the shape of a traditional red telephone box, among other novelties, and Bosworth, a loyal fan of the brand’s streetwear-inspired designs, fêted a capsule collection she curated just for the two-story Hollywood location.
