Runway Looks We Love: Herve Leger by Max Azria

Feb 9, 2013 @ 6:51 pm

For a collection inspired by nature, Herve Leger by Max Azria’s fall runway had some serious street appeal! ”Every season when we start, we start with the bandage, and what we could add to it,” creative director Lubov Azria told InStyle.com. “This time, we were inspired by the textures found in nature, like lilypads and ocelots. We just went for it.” In turn, the looks ranged from cropped tops and pencil skirts to sparkling cocktail numbers, with additions of sheer jersey crewnecks and fox fur “sweatshirts.” To add extra urban jungle appeal, each design—whether studded, sequined or harnessed—was fittingly topped off with a black baseball cap. Runway Looks We Love: Prabal Gurung

Feb 9, 2013 @ 6:22 pm

On the eve of his collection for Target hitting stores, Prabal Gurung is already looking forward, debuting a powerful collection fit for modern warrior women at New York Fashion Week. Tapping into how women want to dress, the designer showed impeccably-tailored military-inspired outerwear, chic dress-up-or-down separates, silk cocktail dresses with strategically sexy cutouts and slits, and effortlessly-cool gowns we can easily see on Gurung’s muse, Zoe Saldana. The accessories included fall’s soon-to-be must have shoe—a thigh-high gladiator boot with buckles snaking up the leg, designed just for the show by Cesare CasadeiSee our favorite looks in the gallery!

New Shoe Collaboration Alert! Costella Tagliapietra Teams Up With Schutz

Feb 9, 2013 @ 6:07 pm

Design duo Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra teamed with New York shoe company Schutz to whip up the footwear for their fall 2013 collection, which they debuted during New York Fashion Week. “Schutz has a minimalist sensibility that speaks to sculptural form and a sense of modernity without forsaking a certain sensuality and sexiness,” the designers told InStyle.com. “Our own collection shares these ideals, and we love how our two aesthetics speak to each other.” The result: Floral heels with earthy prints created by layering geographical photos and maps to match the fabrics seen in the new ready-to-wear collection. What Surprises Heidi Klum the Most? She Tells InStyle

Feb 9, 2013 @ 5:28 pm

Heidi Klum just released her fourth scent, Surprise, this month, so when we caught up with the Project Runway host at the show’s finale runway show during New York Fashion Week, we had to wonder what surprises her most. “I had four, they were all my surprises,” the model told InStyle.com, referring to her children Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou. “When they came out, that was the biggest surprise. Even though before you do mammograms, you kind of feel like you think what they’re going to look like, but when you look in the eyes and the face of your child for the first time, that is always the biggest surprise.” Too sweet! Just like her scent, which blends colorful notes like magnolia, rose petals, and pink pepper, bottled up in ribbon-inspired flaconFind Surprise at drugstores nationwide for $28.
