Super Bowl 2013: Watch Jennifer Hudson and the Sandy Hook Choir Sing “America the Beautiful”
Feb 3, 2013 @ 8:00 pm
Before the Baltimore Ravens took the lead ahead of the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl XLVII, Jennifer Hudson took to the mic in a black leather Monika Chiang turtleneck bodysuit and white L’Wren Scott pencil skirt. The Grammy and Oscar winner belted out “America the Beautiful,” with the vocal backup of the 26-children Sandy Hook Elementary School choir. A crowd of more than 72,000 people inside the Superdome (and millions more watching live from their Super Bowl parties) watched on as Hudson and the choir, all donning green ribbons to honor those lost in the tragic school shooting that took place in early December, sang one of our country’s most beloved patriotic songs. Watch their moving performance above!
