For Chanel’s spring 2013 couture show in Paris during Couture Fashion Week this week, creative director of makeup Peter Philips contrasted Karl Lagerfeld’s glamorous goth vision by painting the nails of each model with the brand’s Le Vernis in Emprise. The pale peach hue made a fun, unexpected statement against the otherwise dark ensembles. And, unlike the sneak-previews of new colors that Chanel has showed off at couture shows in the past (i.e.: the label showed the Sky polish six months early), this shade is available now! Not only did Beyoncé just perform at the Presidential Inauguration, but she also found the time to launch a brand new blog, a space on which she will share all her favorite things with her Beyhive fans. And for one of her first posts, she highlighted a pair of woven shoes she just wore on Instagram—and we found them! They’re the Jaipur Tie Flats by Giraffe Walk, which are hand-woven by a group of women in Chennai, India, who receive a portion of proceeds from the sale of the shoes. “The ultimate thrill for every shoe designer is to have their shoes on a woman who enhances the design,” the shoe’s designer David Siskin told InStyle.com. “Beyoncé is more than a musical superstar and style icon, she is a woman with a sophisticated and modern aesthetic. Her exposure will help increase the amount we can donate to our partners in Chennai.” Shop the shoes for $235 at giraffewalk.com.

Her personal trainer Nicole Winhoffer said the pop icon is working on a series of workout DVDs dubbed Addicted To Sweat, The Huffington Post reports. “The only way she is able to get through her day and schedule all her meetings and to be there for her children is to have a fit body,” Winhoffer said. “She makes time in her schedule for the workout. Her fitness is the key. She’s the perfect example to share her workout with people around the world.” The release date for the DVD—which will include exercise programs created from Madonna’s time teaching cardio classes in Mexico City—is not yet announced. Ever since debuting that iconic pixie in Rosemary’s Baby, Mia Farrow’s gamine style has long served as short hair inspiration—and it turns out, the cut was a DIY move! The star’s pixie has been attributed to the late hairstylist Vidal Sassoon, but the look was actually the work of Farrow and a pair of nail scissors, The New York Times reports. “Vidal Sassoon is mentioned in the book Rosemary’s Baby and the film. So, Paramount decided to stage a photo shoot in which Mr. Sassoon trimmed my one and 1/2-inch hair to one inch,” the star wrote in a letter to the newspaper. “The whole event was taken in good spirits. I intend no disrespect to Mr. Sassoon, but he had nothing to do with my haircut.” And the rumor about the style causing a rift between Farrow and then-husband Frank Sinatra? Not true! Sinatra loved the change so much, he was a factor in keeping it short, Farrow added.
