Watch This: The Girl Rising Documentary Trailer

“I will read. I will study. I will learn. If you try to stop me, I will just try harder,” Anne Hathaway says in the inspiring new trailer for the Richard Robbins-directed documentary Girl Rising, an exploration of how a proper education can change the lives of girls growing up in underprivileged communities around the globe—and consequently change the world. (It’s not the first time the Les Miserables star has taken on a girl-power cause!) The film takes viewers into the lives of girls from Africa to India, and illustrates how simply trying to go to school is sometimes a significant challenge. Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Alicia Keys, Kerry Washington, Meryl Streep, Selena Gomez, and Cate Blanchett are just a sampling of the stars who lent their voices to the film, in addition to a haunting cover of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love” by up-and-coming British singer Birdy, which also appears in the trailer. Linkin Park Designs Boot for Sebago to Benefit Charity

Here’s a fun collaboration for music lovers: Linkin Park teamed up with Sebago to co-design a pair of men’s boots. “We couldn’t have picked a better brand to partner with than Sebago for our debut into footwear fashion and design,” band DJ Joe Hahn said. “Their commitment to premium footwear and their excitement for creative, fresh, talent allowed us to create the custom boot we envisioned.” The black leather, side-stitched boots come complete with the band’s logo, and hit stores and sebago.com today for $250, and 10% of sales will go toward Linkin Park’s charity Music for Relief, which benefits victims of natural disasters like October’s Hurricane Sandy. Valentine’s Day gift idea, anyone?

Sundance Film Festival Update: Nicole, Leslie, Jane, and More!

The InStyle portrait studio at the Grey Goose Blue Door Lounge in Park City, Utah was another hot pit stop for the stars of the Sundance Film Festival! Nicole Kidman rested her feet (wrapped in Belstaff boots) on one of our leather couches in between shots to promote her new movie Stoker, and left just before the hilarious cast of Afternoon Delight swung by, including Josh Radnor, Kathryn Hahn, and Jane Lynch (who photobombed our Instagram shot and Tweeted during her photo shoot). But the ones who had us doubled over in stitches were the stars of Hell Baby, Leslie Bibb and Rob Corddry, who not only sang, joked, and laughed during our interview, but also approached us with an aggressive idea. “Here’s what we have to pitch,” said Bibb. “Rob Corddry and I have to be on the cover.
