Lanvin artistic director Alber Elbaz is a bona fide expert when it comes to making women look beautiful, and now he’s transitioning his skill from fashion to beauty. Following a highly succesful collaboration with H&M in 2010, Elbaz will work with fellow French brand Lancome to develop a line of makeup products! Set to launch worldwide June 15, the limited-edition collection promises to build upon the whimsical femininity (which you will see above in the animated clip he created, along with Pascal Dangin of Box Studios!) characteristic of Elbaz’s designs for Lanvin. And it would also seem that he already has a love affair with beauty products. “I always say, success is like a perfume,” Elbaz said at the 50th Anniversary Geoffrey Beene Fashion Impact Award at the YMA FSF Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship Awards Dinner. “You can only smell it but don’t you ever drink it.” Wise words.
