After striking out on his own four years ago, designer Prabal Gurung has already seen his pieces land on countless celebrities—an amazing feat!—and he knows how special it is each time stars like (left to right) Olga Kurylenko, Marion Cotillard, January Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence step onto the red carpet wearing his clothes. “These actresses have a bazillion options, and you’re competing with big corporate houses, too,” Gurung told InStyle.com at the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation’s 2013 Winners’ Brunch in New York, where the designer was on hand to toast to the next generation of grant winners (he won in 2010). “So when [they choose mine], I’m always like, ‘Did this just happen?’ I don’t think it will ever change for me. I’m always really grateful. When they choose mine, it’s really gratifying and humbling.” And he expresses his gratitude every time he sees his piece on a star: “Before I go to bed, I always say, ‘Thank you so much,’ to the person.” And with his collections gaining even more in popularity, expect to see his celebrity fan base keep growing (and growing and growing!).

Coming Soon: Roberto Cavalli’s Just Cavalli Scent

Jan 31, 2013 @ 5:17 pm

Roberto Cavalli is launching a new fragrance! Starting in March, the designer will roll out his Just Cavalli scent, which features Georgia May Jagger in the campaign. “I think the perfume was born under the right star, because Georgia is very sweet, young, and positive, just like the fragrance,” Cavalli told InStyle.com of the neroli, tiare flower, and palissander wood mix. But long before Jagger became the face of the scent, the designer looked to his Just Cavalli line for inspiration. “The perfume is part of my fashion, but fragrance is also part of your body,” he added. “In all my stores, I apply a little bit of perfume to the garments because it’s so important to make the scent right for the dress.” Find Just Cavalli at Macy’s and macys.com in March, priced from $45 to $75.

Goodbye, 30 Rock: Watch the Show’s Final Episode Tonight

Jan 31, 2013 @ 4:22 pm

Say it ain’t so! Tonight marks the last episode ever of the hilarious NBC sitcom 30 Rock, the brainchild of funnywoman Tina Fey that has kept us laughing for seven seasons now. Since 2006, the show has followed the endearingly awkward Liz Lemon (Fey) as she tries to herd an unruly group of writers, actors, assistants, and any number of other characters in the creation of their weekly sketch comedy show, TGS. Inspired by her real-life experience as head writer of Saturday Night Live, the show also made a comedy star out of Alec Baldwin, and has featured countless guest appearances by the likes of Salma Hayek, Matt Damon, Oprah Winfrey, and Jon Hamm. The cast recently appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to talk about how it felt to close the curtain on their show—watch it above, and tune in to NBC tonight at 8/7c to see it all come to an end. And psst! If you are planning on DVR’ing the finale, add a few extra minutes to the end: producer Jack Burditt tweeted that there’s a special surprise after the episode’s conclusion. Exciting!

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Baby Will Inherit How Much?

Jan 31, 2013 @ 4:18 pm

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s baby isn’t expected to arrive for another few months, but the future prince or princess is already set to inherit quite the fortune. According to a royal decree dating back to the 14th century, their child’s inheritance will include land and estates that are today worth approximately £348 million pounds or $550 million dollars, Bloomberg reports. The future monarch will also receive all of this tax-free! Nevertheless, he or she will still have to work for the deeds, as it will be their job to oversee the estates, attend to royal duties, and, obviously, be all-around fabulous.

Super Bowl 2013: The Calvin Klein Underwear Ad to Tune In For…

Jan 31, 2013 @ 3:40 pm

The 49ers and the Ravens might be studs, but there’s another man we’re pretty excited to see on the small screen this Super Bowl Sunday! Meet Matthew Terry, the handsome star of Calvin Klein‘s very first Super Bowl commercial, a 30-second jaunt that will feature Terry giving fierce face in the the brand’s new Concept line for men. (Check out a steamy sneak peek above.) The black-and-white clip is inspired by a whole “man versus machine” theme, with a 360 view that’s meant to mirror the undies’ seamless design. But we think the most important thing to know is that this boy looks good in his skivvies. See you on Sunday, Matt!

And while you’re at it, check out more of our favorite fashion campaigns.
