My favorite Holiday memory had to be this Christmas…living in Texas,we rarely have a white Christmas but this year,my 6 year old was able to have one and got to play in the snow.He was so happy and excited,it was just a joy watching him have a wonderful Christmas.

My favorite holiday memory is when my Uncle played Santa Claus when I was four years old. Of course, I did not know it was my Uncle at the time, but he was a great Santa Claus!

My favorite holiday pastime occurs on Christmas Eve. My family first does a family dinner and church at my Aunt’s house, but where the real magic happens is when we all go to my house and slumber party together. I’m talking the works – matching pajamas, cookies, fireplace. And we do happen to catch several segments of the 24 hour special of A Christmas Story that runs on TBS every year. I look forward to our annual Christmas slumber party every year!

My favorite holiday memory was when I doubted the existence of Santa Claus. My father was devastated and spent the majority of the week prior to Christmas explaining to me WHY I should never doubt the magic of Christmas.

On Christmas Eve we went to my Grandmothers and carried on our holiday traditions as usual. Later as the evening news came on I became UNGLUED as the anchor reported how high the sales of Cabbage Patch Kids were and how many people could not find that special doll this year due to supply and demand. I was crushed. That was the ONLY thing I had asked for.

So I went home upset, and positive that this Christmas would be the worst ever. The next morning I was woken up by the sound of something on my roof (Daddy). After laying there terrified to move I grabbed my sister and pushed her (in front of me) into the living room with my eyes still closed. Just as we rounded the corner I heard the front door slam. In the door jam was a piece of glittery red felt that had been ripped from Santa’s jacket – and there under the tree was MY Cabbage Patch Kid. I have never ever doubted Santa again. =)

My favorite holiday memory is from when I was 7 years old getting a barbie dollhouse and having my best friends over the next day with their baggies and playing for HOURS until we had to go to bed.

My favorite holiday memory is when I received Crumbs Cupcakes in a giveaway……no seriously I think my favorite holiday memory is when everyone in my family came for Christmas after not being completely together for 6 years. It was amazing to see the power of family and how love keeps everyone together even when we do not see each other. (That was this year!)

My favorite holiday memory is baking with my mom a few weeks before Christmas. We would always make a huge selection to share with family, friends, neighbors, teachers – you name it! I still cherish all of our family recipes and time together in the kitchen.

When I was younger, my parents used to celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah just because they wanted me to feel more holiday spirit!

My favorite memory is picking out the tree each year. We always get a huge one and it’s fun to walk through the whole tree farm, looking for the best and big tree and debating which one to pick.

My favorite holiday memory is being younger and opening up presents with my sister and brother all happy and excited…..I wish I could bottle that up again

My favorite holiday memory is my wedding day, cheesy but true! My husband and I were married on December 15th, just a week before Christmas and made it a Winter Wonderland affair (planned in just a week!) with our closest friends and family. A special day I will never forget, not even the smallest detail!

-Aimee Correa on December 28th, 2012

My favorite holiday memory was when I got lost at Disneyland when I was six. A few mins after panicking, I saw my mother from afar, ran to her and hugged her as if there was no tomorrow. After she passed away a year ago, this was one of the best hugging moments :)

Every Christmas of my life has been my best holiday memory! It is my favorite time of the year not only because of what it means to me because of the celebration of the birth of Christ, but because it brings out the best in people. I am so thankful for a family who loved me while I was growing up and so very thankful for children of my own to love . It just makes me thankful that I had another year to be blessed with friends and family. Many did not get to have that blessing. I hope I never take it for granted.

-Rhonda on December 28th, 2012

My absolute favorite holiday memory is putting up the fake christmas tree with my family when i was little, branch my branch and slowly seeing the tree emerge. and finally putting every hand-made ornament on it and seeing it come to life:) I hope to do it with my kids one day :)

-Amy on December 28th, 2012

Favorite memory is going to my nonna’s (grandma’s) and nonno’s (grandfather’s) house for Christmas Eve Dinner. After a fish feast, we would all sit around and play bingo. I still can see us sitting around her dining room table, kids and adults, marking our boards with beans. The next day we’d all be back after opening our presents at home and there would be a parade of visitors all morning long and them the “immediate” family would have supper . There were so many of us that the kids were banished to the kitchen at the “kids table” and 20 adults sat in her dining room and living room at one long banquet table. It was a small home for such a huge gathering by today’s standards, but I say that was a great time in my life and stays with me always. We supposedly have so much more today, but I think so much less in so many ways. What I wouldn’t do to sit elbow to elbow in that house again.

-Em on December 28th, 2012

Favorite holiday memory would have to be in Dec 2011. A friend of ours was going out of town and needed us to baby sit their 2 small dogs. For ten days we had some nervous but cute Chihuahuas. When they were dropped off we did not get their names so we called them Fattie and Slim according to their body types. By the end of the 10 day visit their owners said we could keep the dogs and that they didn’t want the dogs anymore. Now we have 2 less irresponsible friends and two new members of the family.

Standing on the front porch, next to my grandfather, watching the snow fall, on Christmas eve. How silent it was.

-Felina M on December 29th, 2012

My favorite holiday memory is nine years ago on Christmas Eve when my husband and I brought our two children home from Russia. My daughter was 3-1/2 at the time, and has a learning disability, and my son was 13 months at the time, and he is deaf. What an amazing life-changing event for us! And to make it even more memorable, after sitting at the cold airport for two weeks, our car was dead! Life is quite an adventure — wouldn’t change a thing!

When I was six years old, I desperately wanted a Felicity American Girl doll. I prayed and prayed for her. That year, my aunt surprised our whole family by getting us gifts–and gave me Felicity. No one told her what I wanted, but God answered my prayers. :)

My favorite holiday memory is when my Dad presented me with my first fishing rod and reel at Hanukkah. He took the time to “leftify” it for me and rigged it with a fluke fitting. It was so special because it was symbolic of all the years of us fishing together. He’s gone now and I still have that rod and every time I look at it, I remember fishing with him.

-Liz on December 31st, 2012

My favorite Christmas memory is when I was a little girl my father broke his back it was a long recovery and the best Christmas present when he walked downstairs that morning to watch us all open our presents from Santa! Sadly he has been gone for over 14 years now but I remember like yesterday the smile on his face that morning.
