Scarlett Johansson unleashed her inner vixen for Dolce & Gabbana’s The One Desire fragrance, donning a metallic smoky eye that mirrors the flacon’s black and gold detail in new campaign shots for the label, seen here. Desire is the latest addition to Dolce & Gabbana’s The One collection, and draws upon the floral notes of the original, with the sexy twist of a caramel-infused vanilla and tuberose heart. You’ll see this picture a lot more come spring, when the fragrance launches in stores for $79 to $112.

He may have been wearing head-to-toe Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers to the InStyle and HFPA Miss Golden Globe party in Los Angeles last night, but when it comes to New Girl star Max Greenfield’s fashion crushes, he’s got his eyes on someone else. “I’d love to be Tom Ford for a day,” Greenfield told InStyle.com. “I’m a very pale person, but Tom Ford has that dream tan. Across the board, that’s who I’d like to be.” And what would he do if given the chance to live Ford’s very stylish life? “I’d set up a photo shoot in Milan,” Greenfield told us. “It would be on the coast, for sure. It would be Penelope Cruz and it would be just superb. I’d be wearing a stunning suit with a shirt unbuttoned most of the way.” We don’t think it’s too far of a stretch—they both have that brooding, sexy stare!

When Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow chopped her hair into a chic bob just a couple months ago, it wasn’t a result of the 2012 trend of stars shearing their locks—she made the decision based on a moment of inspiration much earlier in her life. “I have this obsession with 1998 Claire Danes and Reese Witherspoon,” Snow told InStyle.com at the HFPA and InStyle Miss Golden Globe party in Los Angeles last night. “It was when they had their hair really short. I wanted to wear something that was sleek and different for me. I like this!” And what does she love most about her new ‘do? “I feel way better with it short for some reason,” Snow said. “I feel more myself—I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to mess around. It’s way easier and more carefree. This took me ten minutes! I’m always a fan of that.” Quick, simple, and chic—what’s not to love?

Carrie Underwood to Star in The Sound of Music Remake on NBC

Carrie Underwood will bring the hills alive with The Sound of Music! NBC just announced the network will do a live broadcast of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s musical next year, and the country crooner will star as beloved nanny Maria von Trapp. “Speaking for everyone at NBC, we couldn’t be happier to have the gifted Carrie Underwood take up the mantle of the great Maria von Trapp,” Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. ”She was an iconic woman who will now be played by an iconic artist.” The role was originally made famous by Julie Andrews in 1965′s film version, which took home the top Oscar for Best Picture of the Year. The network plans to air the three-hour show about a year from now, around the holiday season.

“I’m so excited to follow in the footsteps of such amazing young women,” Francesca Fisher-Eastwood told us at InStyle & HFPA’s Golden Globes Award Season Kick-Off Party where she was crowned Miss Golden Globe for the upcoming January 13, 2013 ceremony. “My whole family is proud of me. It’s an industry I grew up knowing, so it’s exciting to be at the best party celebrating that history!” The daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher found herself in good company during the bash at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. Ever since One Direction got their start on Britain’s X-Factor in 2010, they’ve dominated the music charts with their fun, fast-paced singles, and now the the five-piece boy band announced plans to to create their very first fragrance, just one more affirmation of their spot at the top of pop culture.
