Stars Support Hurricane Sandy Relief: Watch the Video

It’s been several weeks since Hurricane Sandy ripped through the Northeast, and the recovery effort to rebuild the region continues. Today, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office released a video to help get the message out—the message that New York still needs your help—featuring supportive star appearances by Matt Lauer, Julianna Margulies, Nathan Lane, Jason Sudeikis, Robert DeNiro, and more famous New Yorkers. “While the hurricane is behind us, the damages aren’t,” they say. Watch the video above, and join the effort by visiting reliefny.org to donate to the Empire State Relief Fund or by texting “relief” to 800-00 to make an immediate $10 donation. With Thanksgiving upon us, giving back is on all of our minds—and this is a great way to do just that.

While you get your recon ready for Black Friday—make a list and check it twice!—there is one pair of celebrity besties you won’t see digging through the racks, Kathy Griffin and Kristin Chenoweth. “I’m too famous to shop!” Griffin joked to InStyle.com at the L.A. launch of Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s charity, Tie the Knot. “I haven’t shopped myself since Suddenly Susan season two. [Stylist] Robert Verdi buys all my clothes for me and sends me a bill without question.” Chenoweth agreed with a smile. “I’m not too famous to shop; I am too famous for Black Friday, though,” she said. “But I love shopping. I get an actual high when I buy something!” Together, they came up with a solution: “Our advice to every day working American women—make sure your assistants drop you off at the door and then your assistant can pick you up later.” If only! Jokes aside—have a happy shopping season!

There are two more days until Hitchcock lands in theaters, and stars Jessica Biel and Dame Helen Mirren (in Dolce & Gabbana) celebrated the release at the after-party for the Hollywood premiere, held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The film tells the story of how Alfred Hitchcock’s (depicted by Anthony Hopkins) iconic horror film Psycho came to be. The Duchess of Cambridge is full of surprises! After she and Prince William revealed a revamped website earlier this week at dukeandduchessofcambridge.org, Catherine also revealed she’s a photography fan by uploading seven photographs she had taken during her Diamond Jubilee Tour to Southeast Asia and the South Pacific earlier this year to the site. The pictures—some color, some black and white scenes—were taken from their visit to the Research Station at Danum Valley, Borneo, Malaysia. See them all by visiting this link.
