After much ado about something, Joe Wright’s theatrical recreation of Leo Tolstoy’s classic Russian novel, Anna Karenina, opens in theaters nationwide today. Keira Knightley stars as the titular character, who descends from the heights of aristocratic society to the depths of madness after one lust-fueled decision changes her life—and she does it all while looking incredible in post-war-inspired 19th-century looks created by Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline Durran. InStyle.com got the scoop on the cinematic creations. Click through the gallery to get all the costume details straight from Durran!
