Celebrity Halloween Costumes 2012: Bette Midler as Coco Chanel, Neil Patrick Harris Heads to Oz, and More!

Halloweek is over, and it’s been filled with some spook-tacular celebrity costumes and star-studded soirees like Bette Midler‘s annual New York Restoration Project “Hulaween” party. “En Francaise,” the theme of this year’s bash, had The Divine Miss M looking trés chic as she paid homage to Coco Chanel in the late French fashion designer’s trademarks: pearls, tweed, and two-tone heels. Debbie Harry, who performed, was a Moulin Rouge cancan dancer (complete with feather tail!). Meanwhile, Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, and their twins appeared ready for some yellow brick road trick-or-treating—the family dressed up as characters from The Wizard of Oz. CMA Awards 2012: Miranda and Blake’s Best Date Night Ever

This is LOVE, people! Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s amazing relationship—the two married last May—was put on full display at last night’s 46th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville. And country’s power couple (it’s like they’re the Jay-Z and Beyonce of the country world) earned some of the night’s top honors—Lambert took home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year for the third year in a row, while her other half, The Voice star Blake Shelton, won Male Vocalist of the Year and the night’s top honor, Entertainer of the Year. “I. Love. Country. Music!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all!!!!” Tweeted a very excited Shelton after the ceremony. Plus, together they won Song of the Year for “Over You,” an emotional duet they recorded together. Now if this isn’t the best date night ever, we’re not sure what is.

More than a ceremony, the CMA Awards are a concert! The night included 19 performances at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville last night, as well as one special salute to living legend Willie Nelson. The highlights included country queen Faith Hill’s two-times on the stage—she wore the same pour-her-into-them leather pants for both—and Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town performing “Pontoon” in coordinating sassy black looks. CMA Awards 2012: We Loved Little Big Town’s Performance

We all learned a little bit about “motorboatin’” at last night’s CMA Awards! That term was perhaps the word most uttered other than “country,” and it’s all thanks to Little Big Town and their award-winning hit “Pontoon.” The quartet—Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet—performed their smash during the 46th annual awards in coordinating leather dresses (for the ladies) and black blazers (for the boys) that embodied the sassiness of their lyrics (makin’ waves and catchin’ rays up on the roof, jumpin’ out the back, don’t act like you don’t want to, party in slow motion, out here in the open, mmmmmmm… motorboatin’.) No wonder they walked away with two of the evening’s biggest honors: Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year! “Look at these!” they cheered when they got their awards. “It’s been an incredible journey.” Watch their performance above, but be warned—the song will be stuck in your head all day.
