Bérénice Marlohe’s Skyfall Premiere Dresses

With Skyfall set for U.S. theater release on November 9, James Bond himself (aka Daniel Craig) has been touring the world to promote the latest installment of the 007 film franchise. And the actor’s not doing it alone—Craig’s brought along his infamous Bond girls, and one in particular has been seducing us with her movie premiere fashion choices. French actress Bérénice Marlohe (who plays Sévérine) crushes the carpet each she steps out, whether it’s in, left to right, a glittering floor-length body-conscious dress from Elie Saab, a showstopping red Vivienne Westwood gown, a leather illusion number from Julien Macdonald, or a royal blue peplum bustier look, also from the British designer. Perhaps Marlohe’s feeling über-empowered because of her turn in Skyfall: The new Bond girl told InStyle‘s September issue that when preparing for the role, she was inspired by two very fierce creatures. “I decided to play her as a cross between a panther and a dragon,” she said. The actress definitely strikes the perfect balance between strong and sexy, even offscreen!  So, tell us: Which of Bérénice’s looks is your favorite?

Happy 28th birthday, Katy Perry! In the years we’ve gotten to know her, we’ve grown to love the pop singer’s ability to use fashion and beauty to make fun statements, from her light-up dresses to candy-covered costumes. We saw her fashion fearlessness again last night, when Perry took the stage at President Obama’s campaign rally in Las Vegas in politically-themed look, wearing a black-and-white “ballot” dress with the Obama/Biden ticket checked off. Katy’s 28th year can only bring more eye-catching outfits, plus unique manicures, new hair colors and over-the-top performance ensembles. To celebrate her birthday, we’re giving away a sexy black Brian Lichtenberg dress Katy actually wore. Click below to enter for a chance to win. You can enter once a day through October 31st, so good luck!

“This is so exciting, and it looks amazing!” designer Christopher Kane said of Versace’s new boutique in Soho, which celebrated its door-opening with a bash attended by some of the label’s biggest celebrity fans. Kanye WestJennifer Hudson, and Alexa Chung (in Versus, pictured with Kane) stopped by to check out the Jamie Fobert-designed space, while Lady GagaPrincess Charlene of Monaco, and Karolina Kurkova all feted at a private dinner at the Waldorf Towers. “The whole concept of behind the shop is that it’s much lighter, even though it’s Versace,” added Kane, who designs Versace’s Versus label. “It’s not too small, not too big. It’s just a great space.” The store mixes signature Versace elements—like a Roman basilica-inspired tiled floor imported to southern Manhattan via Italy—as well as a modern cool-girl approach, like white walls and a plexiglass suspended corridor. “There’s a different dymanic here,” Kane added. And it’s true for the clothes, too: This location stocks exclusive T-shirts emblazeoned with iconic Versace imagery co-designed by Kane and Donatella Versace, like the one Kane is wearing. Visit the store at 160 Mercer Street in New York City.

Heidi Klum’s Halloween 2012 Costume: Cleopatra!

The reigning queen of Halloween is killing it once again in the costume department! Heidi Klum posted a photo on Twitter of her in-progress getup—a very gold homage to a very real pharaoh: Cleopatra! Klum is known for her extremely elaborate costumes—she’s been a monkey, a cat, an apple from the Garden of Eden, and (our personal favorite) the Hindu god Kali—so we fully expect her interpretation of the Egyptian queen to be one all-out ensemble. The Project Runway host is also famous for the annual party she throws in honor of her favorite holiday; in 2011 she held court at Tao in Las Vegas, and this year’s bash is set for Halloween night at Finale in New York. Which of Heidi Klum’s costumes is your favorite?

Oct 25, 2012 @ 11:42 am

George Clooney isn’t the only one who’s got his hands on Stacy Keibler these days—Brad Goreski does, too! Keibler is now working with the celebrity stylist and former InStyle contributor, which means he helped put her in these two Monique Lhuillier looks shown here. “I’m really having a blast with Brad,” she told InStyle.com at the Valspar Love Your Color Guarantee Project launch in New York City. “We are on the same page. We have an amazing connection when we work together and we have so much fun. That’s really important.” So, can we expect to see bright colors, Brad’s favorite? Absolutely. “I really love color, actually,” she told us. “There is a great energy that comes with color.” Agreed!

Essie’s Kate Middleton-Inspired Nail Polish: Sneak Peek

Oct 25, 2012 @ 10:25 am

Start practicing your princess wave and dust off the tiara—manicures are about to get the royal treatment! Essie creator Essie Weingarten took some regal inspiration for the winter collection’s six bold hues, which range from delicate turquoise to vivid crimson. “It’s one part Queen Elizabeth, two parts Duchess of Cambridge. They don’t mince words and never mince color,” she said. “I just love the elegant simplicity of a saturated, vibrant look. It’s so luxe, yet so easy to put together.” Apparently the crown jewels are getting some serious competition! The new nail polish colors ($8 each) hit stores in November, but you can preview all the shades in our gallery now! Click “See the Photos” to get a closer look.
