The Good Wife costume designer Daniel Lawson gave InStyle.com the exclusive inside scoop about what Julianna Margulies and guest star Rita Wilson wore on last night’s new episode. “Julianna’s character Alicia was going up against her nemesis Viola (Wilson), and I wanted her to look great,” Lawson said of his inspiration for the episode. This week, we see her in Christian Dior and Moschino—a match for Wilson’s Etro and Valentino look (above), as well as The Good Wife’s out-of-office look, in a Donna Karan sweater and Prada boots (below). “We love when she is home,” said Lawson. “She looks so soft and tactile. There is a real relaxed quality to her look.” Click through the gallery for more details straight from the set!
Beyond the beautiful white gowns and veils, we’ve spotted some fresh looks from the runway at Bridal Fashion Week. At the Marchesa 2013 bridal show, Laura Mercier makeup artist Talia Shobrook created a sophisticated yet glamorous face with bronzed-taupe statement lids and nude lips. To illuminate eyes, she first applied a liquid taupe shadow upward toward the brow bone for an even, beige base. Then, she used a soft eye shadow brush and layered Laura Mercier Matte Eye Colour in Cafe au Lait ($22, lauramercier.com) across the lid and under the lower lash line for a soft outline. To add a sweet shimmer, she used a Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Ballet Pink ($22, lauramercier.com) on the inner corners of the eye and across the top lash line, just barely extending the shadow over the outer corner. To finish the look, Shobrook used a lengthening mascara in dark brown to create voluminous lashes. Now this is a look we can say “I do” for!

Who is Gossip Girl? Now that the series finale countdown has begun, we’re getting closer to finding out the answer. Even the voice behind the mystery blogger—Kristen Bell—wouldn’t tell us who it was, though she did say she’ll miss her gig once it wraps for good. “It’s been such an easy, fun, cool job,” the actress told InStyle.com at the premiere of Target’s shoppable video “Falling for You,” in which she also stars (watch it here). “Those are the best words to describe it because there is very little work involved for me. I see the episodes in advance. I go in my pajamas. The only better job on the planet is if someone were paying me to sleep!” And, like many of the show’s devoted fans, she’ll be sad to see it go. “I’ve done it for six years, so it will be a nice hole in my heart,” she said. Ours, too! In the meantime, the guessing for GG continues. Scroll down to find out who the cast thinks it is, and catch an all-new episode of Gossip Girl tonight 8/7c on The CW.

Fall is really taking hold of celebrities’ hair choices. Last week, Olivia Wilde debuted dark chocolate strands, and now Dakota Fanning followed suit, posting a photo to her and sister Elle’s co-Instagram @thefannings with the caption “well look who turned into a brunette!” We haven’t seen the older Fanning with hair this dark since her role in 2005’s thriller Hide and Seek, when she was just 11 years old. Her new hue, created by Warren-Tricomi colorist Jenda Alcorn, was influenced by her role in the upcoming film Night Moves, where she’ll star alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Peter Sarsgaard. Tell us: do you like Dakota’s look?

Now this is how a man sells fragrance! After weeks of teasers, Chanel finally revealed Brad Pitt’s campaign for the label’s iconic No. 5 fragrance. His 30-second spot is intended to seduce, as he speaks directly to the camera—to us!—about the journey of our lives. “It’s not a journey,” he says. “Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear. Dreams take over. Wherever I go, there you are. My luck. My fate. My fortune.” So, is he convincing? Watch the clip above and let us know.
