Facebook Is Working on a “Want” Button
Oct 10, 2012 @ 4:33 pmFacebook is moving up from “like” to “want.” The social media site—which recently hit 1 billion users—is testing out new “want” and “collect” buttons. It’s like Pinterest for Facebook, meaning you can save products featured on brand Facebook pages to a wishlist by clicking the button. Victoria’s Secret, Michael Kors, Pottery Barn, Neiman Marcus, Smith Optics, Wayfair, and Fab.com are already on board with the technology, which you’ll start to see pop up. This change coincides with the latest launch in the Facebook Takeover—the new Gift Shop introduced last week, which offers users the opportunity to buy gifts for others and enter in gift ideas for themselves. So, who “wants” to use this for holiday shopping?
