Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly: First Look!

Oct 9, 2012 @ 6:22 pm

Nicole Kidman  made her first on-set appearance as Grace Kelly for Olivier Dahan’s film, Grace of Monaco recently while shooting in the South of France. The film, slated for a 2014 release, is set in the 1960s, several years after Kelly left her career as Hollywood royalty to marry Prince Rainier III and become Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco. Kidman was spotted wearing a pale yellow cape-trench with a large, distinguished collar, offset by a double strand of pearls, and her hair was set in short waves. We think she looks remarkably similar to the original princess. What do you think?

Dancing with the Stars: Karina Smirnoff on Her Statue Look

Oct 9, 2012 @ 5:45 pm

On last night’s episode of Dancing with the StarsKarina Smirnoff went for a ’40s glam look for her foxtrot to “Fever” with partner Apolo Anton Ohno. Her draped “statue” gown transformed into a sparkly top and sheer black high-waisted pants when Ohno removed the white fabric at the beginning of the dance. “I wanted the designs to be memorable and stand out next to the beautiful statues and props we had,” Sminoff told InStyle.com. “When we walked into the creative fashion department and saw the hand-beaded net material, I knew I wanted to use it.” That’s why her look involved costume jewelry, long silk gloves, and a head piece. “It was an experience to create,” she said. Tell us: Did you like Karina’s design?

Christina Aguilera to Launch New Perfume, Red Sin

Oct 9, 2012 @ 5:14 pm

In the recently released music video for “Your Body,” Christina Aguilera really shows off her naughty side, so the name of her new scent, Red Sin, seems especially appropriate. “I believe red is more than just a color,” the singer said in a statement. “Wearing red can evoke emotions and make you feel sexy and confident.” (Just ask Taylor Swift!) Encased in a curvy bottle decked out in red lace, the perfume has notes of red apple, cinnamon, cyclamen, ginger, musk and sandalwood, making it perfect for fall and winter. Pick up a bottle for $37 to $47 at kohls.com beginning this November.

Look We Love: Taylor Swift, Rashida Jones, and Nicole Kidman’s Matching Looks

Oct 9, 2012 @ 5:00 pm

Rashida JonesNicole Kidman, and Taylor Swift all perfectly matched their bright pouts to their ensembles, and we’re loving the punchy hues for fall. “The key to matching your lipstick to your ensemble without it going too contrived or matchy-matchy is to take a hue from the tone of your dress rather than trying to coordinate it exactly,” said Suzy Gerstein, a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with Leighton Meester and Julie Bowen. Keep in mind: If you think a shade might be too overwhelming, tone it down with a nude reflective gloss. Or, try a lip stain or tinted balm.
