Tim Burton lovers, rejoice! Frankenweenie, the director’s first animated film since 2005, hits theaters nationwide today. Based on a 1994 short of the same name, the movie tells the story of a zombie dog brought back to life by a young boy, Victor Frankenstein (voiced by newcomer Charlie Tahan), who is grief-stricken when his pooch passes away. The full-length feature also stars one of Burton’s favorite ladies, Winona Ryder, as Victor’s friend Elsa van Helsing. This flick combines two of our favorite things: Halloween and puppies.
