Venerable French fashion house Vionnet celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and in honor of the milestone, the label presented a 20-piece demi-couture collection—high-end ready-to-wear items that require hours of hand workmanship—during Paris Fashion Week. The collection is filled with pieces inspired by the architectural elements that made founder Madeleine Vionnet famous a century ago, such as the bias-cut, the handkerchief dress, the cowl neck, and the halter top. Current designer Rodolfo Paglialunga reinterpreted the silhouettes for modern day, as seen in our favorite looks above. Each outfit is custom made and takes eight weeks to produce (visit vionnet.com for where to buy). It’s quite an accomplishment for the label, which returned six years ago after having closed in 1939. Expect fans including Diane Kruger, Natalie Portman, and Gwyneth Paltrow to raise a glass in Madame’s honor!
