On last night’s series premiere of 666 Park Avenue, we got a preview of the show’s mysterious storylines and impressive Upper East Side fashion. The show’s stylist Caroline Duncan told InStyle.com she’s trying “to strike a balance between fashion and fear” for this supernatural show, especially for characters Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) and Olivia Doran (Vanessa Williams). “Olivia has an artistic, avant-garde eye, so she gravitates towards prints,” Duncan said of the elegant Chinese motif dress she wore in the premiere. “She’s bold and brave and has had money her whole life, so she has exquisite taste.” As for Jane, expect a preppier, classic look, which is a stark contrast to the bright Alexander McQueen gown she wore in last night’s episode. “Olivia gifted Jane the red dress, so it’s very dramatic,” Duncan said. “Jane’s character wouldn’t have gravitated to something that strong because she’s not as showy.
