Courteney Cox’s Joss & Main Home Decor Favorites

Sep 20, 2012 @ 6:11 pm

Inspired by her own Malibu home’s “organic-modern” decor, Friends and Cougar Town actress Courteney Cox has curated a collection of furniture and housewares for luxury flash-sale site Joss & Main to benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. Through October 9, the online destination will offer everything from blue Handy Living chairs to Missoni Home floor pillows—among Cox’s favorites, she calls the plush must-haves “fun for a splash of color!”—along with an assortment of other accents. Prices range from $12 (for a set of cute coasters) to $4,500 (for this Eames chair), and a portion of the proceeds will go to the foundation, which funds research into a cure for a rare, life-threatening skin illness that strikes mainly children. Visit Joss & Main to view more of Courteney Cox’s stylish shelter picks!

Runway Looks We Love: Prada

Sep 20, 2012 @ 5:19 pm

Miuccia Prada showed an inventive Spring 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week, one filled with bold silhouettes in soft hues. The Japanese-inspired lineup included silk sheaths, tops, and skirts with intricate origami folds. The pale solids were offset by an oversize floral motif, which appeared on everything from coats to cocktail dresses. As for the accessories, always a conversation starter, the designer offered a sky-high flatform worn over metallic socks, demure day and evening bags, and flower-embellished sunglasses. Check out our favorite looks in the gallery.

Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie

Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie Sport Spooled Top Knots

Sep 20, 2012 @ 4:37 pm

Although we’ll always love polished ballerina buns, sky-high spooled top knots are totally on trend this season. Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie both turned heads this week when they stepped out sporting the hair-raising ‘do. To get the look, sweep hair into a high pony at the top of your head and tie with a clear elastic. Twist upward and begin pinning. Add shine drops if you’re looking for a super-sleek crown. Depending on how textured you want your bun, celebrity stylist Mitch Stone suggests adding a braid for a more glamorous look. “If you’re looking for some punch, add extensions to build the ‘do higher,” he says. Check out the gallery to see our favorite celebrity top knots!

Rachel Weisz’s Bulgari Serpenti Ad Campaign

Rachel Weisz takes another modeling turn for Bulgari! This time, she channels snake-haired goddess Medusa in the high-end jewelers’ new ad campaign for its Serpenti collection. The Italian brand’s line of reptile-inspired gems looks gorgeous on the actress, who works a minimalistic black gown and swept-back hair. The stunning pieces—diamonds glittering in rose and white gold—pop against Weisz‘s porcelain skin. Perhaps the jewels would look nice next to the British beauty’s wedding ring from hubby-slash-James Bond star Daniel Craig!

Inside Chloé’s Paris-Theme Party for Phase One Foundation!

The Los Angeles Chloé boutique drew in a starry crowd last night—Mandy Moore (in Chloé and a Kelly Wearstler top), Sophia Bush (in all Chloé), Emma Roberts (in Chloé and Jimmy Choo shoes) and Nikki Reed (in Chloé and Gorjana earrings and belt) included—and all for a good cause!  Hosted by stylist power team Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, the “American in Paris”-themed soiree benefitted the Phase One Foundation, an organization that funds Phase I trials and research to help in the fight against cancer. Guests nibbled on French-themed treats while shopping to raise money for the charity, and also pinned wishes to a board for people battling the disease. “We love Paris, and Chloé is so quintessentially Paris that we thought it would be fun to do,” Current told InStyle.com (shown on right of Roberts with Elliott). “We normally go to Paris Fashion Week but things have been so busy that we are going to sit this one out. So we’re bringing it here—a little champagne, a little croissant!” Tres chic!
