MAC Cosmetics’ latest muse? Marilyn MonroeThe screen siren, who taught us that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, inspired the makeup giant’s new limited-edition line, which captures her iconic beauty with a range of bombshell-worthy eye shadows, nail lacquers, eyeliners, and lipsticks. With names like Charmed I’m Sure and Preferred Blonde, there’s a lot to love in this 30-piece lineup. See the entire collection in the gallery, and shop the items at maccosmetics.com starting September 27 and in stores October 4.

Am very disappointed to see that MAC chose to use the Milton Green photos of MM….these are not the least bit flattering to her and do NOT reflect the femininity and beauty of her at all!!!

and I chuckle at the inclusion of nail enamel; MM never wore it……when asked why, she said she liked to ‘feel blonde all over’……..

Please, MAC Cosmetics, stop using the hard-edged Green photos and replace them with something more suitable to her image and our memories of her!!!!!!!!

I do declare that Ben Grego is fantastically gay!

Clearly she has been long gone,
Before MAC was ever created. I LOVE his photos of her, and so did she. He was an amazing photographer and friend to her. Sorry about the disappointment. It’s make up. Relax.

What a disppointing collection of colors!! You took the iconic MM and just gave us repeats of lip pencils and boring lipsticks. Your one chance to vamp up the reds and you missed it completely. You could have really had a smash collection…you should have rereleased “CARNAL” and “MISS DISH” lipsticks-perfect names and perfect colors for Marilyn. Then you needed to add a NEW red lip pencil or maybe rerelease “GARNET”. As for the shadows, BORING again. You needed “FRENCH GREY” and some other discontinued blue/greys. Honestly, what’s up with MAC??? What are you thinking that you blew this really big chance….Marilyn was a shining star…..shame on you for being lazy and careless.
