“Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” has long been a party game used to calculate how many people separate the actor from pretty much everyone else in Hollywood. But now, Google will do the math for you. The search engine has just introduced a feature called the “Bacon Number”: You type in the name of any celebrity, followed by the phrase “Bacon Number,” and Google will tell you how many degrees away that star is from KB. It’s brilliant, really.
