We loved Nina Dobrev’s bouncy ponytail when she walked into InStyle’s portrait studio at the Toronto International Film Festival this week! And it’s thanks to hairstylist Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One salon in Los Angeles, who was on hand to perfect her every strand. “It looks polished but effortless, and it doesn’t look like we were trying too hard,” Capri told InStyle.com of the look. To recreate the style, follow Capri’s advice and start with wavy, tousled hair. Then put it up in a tight ponytail, secure it with an elastic, and pull pieces forward to give it a textured effect.
