Diane von Furstenberg, Fashion Week

As the first sign that Diane von Furstenberg‘s show was all about modern day fantasies, guests were greeted by the quote, “some fairy tales end with the girl marrying the prince… some start there.” DVF’s twenty-first century heroine has the “polish of a princess and the heart of a gypsy,” and wears a glamorous mix of bohemian kaftans, sleek colorblock minis, and draped jumpsuits in an intoxicating color palette and bold botanical prints. She’s armed with chain-strap sandals, bright sunglasses and bejeweled clutches. But spring’s ultimate accessory was Glass by Google (visit google.com/+dvf sept 13th for the short film DVF through Glass). Worn by select models, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, and even DVF herself, these shades pointed towards an even more modern fantasy when wearers can experience the show from their own perspective. See our favorite looks in the gallery!
