The always pop-culture-moment-making MTV Video Music Awards are next Thursday, September 6th at 8 p.m. EST, and this year’s lineup gives us a lot to look forward to. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Green Day, new CoverGirl P!nk, Alicia Keys, and One Direction are slated to take the stage, as well as relative newcomer Frank Ocean, and (just added!) Demi Lovato, who will perform at the pre-show. The VMAs always give us plenty to talk about (last year Beyoncé announced her pregnancy on the red carpet!), and this year should be no different. Nominees include InStyle cover girl Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry with her colorful “Wide Awake,” and (of course) Carly Rae Jepsen, whose “Call Me Maybe” is loved by everyone.
