Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari is expanding her role with the shoe brand Chinese Laundry from ambassador to shoe designer! The 25-year-old new mom will launch a capsule collection she designed for on-the-go-girls, featuring work-friendly pumps, studded flats, booties, and platforms, all in different patterns to spice up your winter wardrobe. Kristin’s “new nude” style is the lineup’s key piece: “A lot of nudes are too light or have too much brown in them,” Cavallari told InStyle.com. “I wanted a nude that would look good on everyone. The new nude is very soft and feminine.” The line debuts this December for $70 to $150 on chineselaundry.com.

Here’s one celebrity look we just can’t wait to try for fall: Jennifer Lawrence‘s brocade Prabal Gurung dress, spotted on the star during her Hunger Games tour. It’s a sophisticated look that we think would work just as well in the office as on a date. And if you already have a summery, sleeveless version, like the ASOS one pictured here ($134, asos.com), then you can just pop a long-sleeved tee underneath for extra protection against those autumn winds. Thanks for the inspiration, Jen!

In a dramatic departure from her retro coiff on Mad Men, Elisabeth Moss surprised us when she stepped out with a platinum pixie last week. We caught up with Tommy Buckett and Caroline Buckler of the Marie Robinson Salon, who worked together to give Peggy Olsen a brand new ‘do. Both stylists decided to go with an edgy style that really pushed the envelope since Moss wanted to go shorter. “I tweaked the color a bit to go with this cut,” Buckler said. “Elisabeth’s skin tone is perfect for this shade, which makes her eyes really pop.” Thinking of making the cut like Moss? Keep your hair texture in mind before heading to the salon. “This style works for girls with straight to wavy hair,” Buckett said. “The soft, flat bang gives it a modern look.” We agree!

Goodbye dark brown, hello ombre! Kim Kardashian debuted a new highlighted style over Twitter this weekend, a hair makeover done courtesy of hairstylist George Papanikolas of Andy Lecompte Salon. “I changed her from her traditional dark brown, to a more fashionable glossy chocolate brown,” said Papanikolas, who used a combination of Joico’s Base Breaker and Balayage highlights to create the effect—a gradient from “deep, dark chocolate to milk chocolate ends.” If you’re channeling blonder ambitions like the star, make sure to switch out your regular shampoos for more nourishing formulas. “It’s important to protect the hair color to keep it rich and luxurious,” he added. Papanikolas recommends using the Joico K-Pak Color Therapy shampoo ($14; joico.com for locations) in conjunction with the Revitaluxe conditioner ($40; joico.com for locations) to keep your strands soft and fade-proof.
