True Blood Season Finale Is Tonight! Skarsgard Says ‘I Don’t Bite’

True Blood’s season finale airs tonight, and we can’t wait to see our favorite Bon Temps vampires back in action. Now that it’s ending, there’s one thing Alexander Skarsgård will have to guard himself of when not playing the dreamy Eric. “People ask me to bite them,” the Swedish-born actor told InStyle. “But I’m a nice guy. I don’t bite.” That said, he does come across a lot of fake blood on set. How does it smell? “Not great at all,” he said. “It’s very sticky and sweet, and I’ve been covered in it from head to bloody toe!” Tune in to HBO tonight at 9 p.m. EST to watch him, and see the rest of the shenanigans Sookie, Bill, and Eric are up to, and catch more of our interview with Skarsgard (the new face of Calvin Klein’s men’s fragrance Encounter) on page 166 of InStyle’s September issue, on newsstands now.

Plus, check out the True Blood Forsaken beauty line.

Wear a Silver Smoky Eye Like Jennifer Lopez

Aug 26, 2012 @ 6:00 pm

It’s hard to choose a favorite element from Jennifer Lopez’s look from her appearance at PURE nightclub in Las Vegas. Her tousled half-updo, understated nude lip, and clean complexion hit all the right notes, but her silver smoky eye brought everything together. We love how the intense shimmer on the inner corners of her eyes gave the classic shadow a modern edge. To recreate the star’s look, layer a dark black base underneath a silver shadow, then use a dome-tipped brush to blend out any defined edges. Since the tiny flecks of glitter tend to get everywhere, working with shiny colors can be tricky. Instead of sweeping on the powder, press it onto your lids using a flat shadow brush. That way, product fallout is kept to a minimum, and the shimmer stays put.

Dolce & Gabbana Debuts Adorable New Children’s Line

Aug 26, 2012 @ 9:00 am

For the first time in the brand’s nearly-30-year history, Dolce & Gabbana released a kids’ collection! Inspired by the more grownup looks seen sashaying down the runway, Dolce & Gabbana Junior includes the brand’s signature floral patterns, leopard prints, and adorable ballet flats. The styles are designed for kids from infants to 10 years old, and we especially love this scaled-down look from Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2012 show. “It’s all our DNA: brocade, lace, prints, and tweed,” designer Stefano Gabbana told InStyle. Co-designer Domenico Dolce adds: “The tiny bags are just irresistible.” These aren’t for the tot on a budget, though: the dress goes for $650, the bag for $155, and the boots for $505. The Dolce & Gabbana Junior collection is available now on dolcegabbana.com.
