O, Canadian love! Yesterday, Avril Lavigne, 27, announced she is engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. The 37-year-old rocker popped the question with a 14-carat pear-shaped diamond ring, flanked by two half-moon diamonds on either side. The drop shape is not the most common choice for an engagement rock these days—Katherine Heigl has one!—and Chad’s taste inspired us to take a look at some more stunning pear-shaped stones.
