After 16 days, the 2012 Olympics came to an end in London last night with a Brit-centric closing ceremony that included one mega British fashion moment! The most famous faces to ever come from the United Kingdom joined together to strut down a stadium-size, Union Jack-shaped runway to the tune of David Bowie’s “Fashion.” (Fashion! Turn to the left! Fashion! Turn to the right! We are the goon squad, and we’re coming to town!) Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell (both in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen) led Lily Cole (in Erdem), Lily Donaldson (in Vivienne Westwood), Georgia May Jagger (in Victoria Beckham), and more, all wearing glittering gold gowns designed by the country’s famous fashion houses. Click through the gallery for all the details on the closing ceremony’s model moment. (Next stop, Rio! The Brazilians better bring it! Gisele, that means you.)

I am a little irritated you made no mention of the gorgeous and hard-working DAVID GANDY but, that’s ok, guess everyone has a little lapse in judgement from time to time. It’s a shame that he works just as hard (if not harder) to make a name for himself as the first true male super model and then in magnanimous moments such as these he is still overlooked and not credited for his contrubution to the fashion scene. He woudn’t have been asked to participate in these ceremonies if he was just another random catwalker. Please add credit where credit is due, he has plenty of fans that enjoy celebrating his success.

First off I will say I loved the fashion part of the closing ceremony! I’m a little annoyed that David Gandy was left out of this article. This was not the first time this has happend, Ryan Seacrest left him out last night also when it aired here in the states. He has worked just as hard if not harder than the women he walked the catwalk with last night. He has made a name for himself and should be recognized just like the others. Trust me if he was in the show with the other big names obviously he’s something pretty special.

@Elizabeth B and Allie S — How could anyone forget David Gandy?! He’s in the slideshow, along with the entire cast of the Closing Ceremony fashion show stars: http://news.instyle.com/photo-gallery/?postgallery=127954#9

@Sharon Clott My comment was directed at the caption for this particular picture and the lack of recognition on this specific page. I believe if you are going to name one or several people in a photo then you should be respectful and name all. I do realize he’s in the slideshow and named accordingly but he should be credited for all photos he appears in.
