Brad Goreski’s Tips on Wearing Stripes Like the Stars

Stripes are can be tricky, but they don’t have to be! Just look at Michelle Williams, Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba, and Nikki Reed, who all mastered the style for dressing up and dressing down. “Especially now with the print-on-print trend, you can get away with anything,” Alba’s stylist Brad Goreski told InStyle.com at Super Saturday recently. “Horizontal, vertical, you just don’t want to look like you’re in jail or going to jail.” That means shopping for stripes with an open mind. “Try it and see first,” Goreski added. “Don’t rule it out. After a sneak preview of Gisele Bundchen’s David Yurman campaign in May, the jewelry brand just released the official photos today (including this exclusive look here). The black-and-white spread, shot by photographer Peter Lindbergh, features the Brazilian supermodel on the shores of Malibu wearing the jewelry designer’s latest dainty creations. “She has an inner-life,” Yurman told InStyle.com earlier this year. ”I hate to use the word sexy, but she’s sensual and fluid and beautiful.” Click through to see the final shots and more snaps from the shoot.

29.6 million people tuned into to NBC last night to watch the female gymnastics finish their Olympic run, and our girls did not disappoint. Of the Fab Five, Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, and team captain Aly Raisman competed in a mix of the Beam and Floor Finals, and Raisman medaled in both, taking home the gold for her floor routine, and a bronze medal for her work on the beam.
