Kirsten Dunst’s and Gabrielle Union’s Bring It On is back—and it’s on Broadway! After an acclaimed national run, the cheerleading film-turned-stage musical, penned by the Tony-winning creators of In the Heights and Next to Normal, officially opened on the Great White Way last night, and it seems that critics and fangirls alike can’t get enough of the nostalgia check. “Bring It On certainly gives fierce face, but it also backs up that glittering grill with just enough sinew and substance,” New York magazine wrote. And, with more rah-rah reviews, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, and USA Today are all fans, too! But the question is: Would you go see the high-flying fun? Watch the trailer for a sneak peek of what to expect. Bring It On: The Musical is scheduled for a limited run at the St. James Theater until October 7th; visit telecharge.com for tickets.
