Swimmer Allison Schmitt took home the gold in the women’s 200m freestyle race during the Olympics yesterday! As she clutched her shiny new medal, we couldn’t help but notice her winning manicure, red polish with a blue standout nail on one hand, and blue digits with a red statement nail on the other. The swimmer is no stranger to success: She took home the silver medal for the 400m freestyle, and previously won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing games. See more manicures we love from this year’s athletes in the gallery.

I enjoyed watching Schmitt win both of these races, she has made Georgia and the USA very proud! I also noticed her Olympic-inspired nails, a fun trend we’ve noticed on a lot of Team USA’s athletes. I’ve been happy thus far seeing Team USA win so many medals and it gives my Dish coworkers and I a lot to talk about in the office. I prefer to watch the Olympics on my phone while I commute, with the Dish Remote Access app. I love how this app allows me to watch both live and recorded shows and also set up DVR timers all from my phone. It saves me so much time and I love the convenience!
