On last night’s season finale of The Bachelorette, People Water founder Jef Holm proposed to Emily Maynard with a ring designed by celebrity jeweler Neil Lane. The 3.5 carat ring featured a 2.5 carat emerald center stone, accented with 87 round-cut diamonds on a platinum band.  “I found my everything,” he said before taking a knee. It took Maynard about 10 seconds before she actually said yes—host Chris Harrison joked that he timed it!—but Maynard explained she hesitated out of nerves, and she was taking in the moment so she’d never forget it. Tell us: Do you like the ring?

THEY WILL BE BROKEN UP WITHIN A MONHT IT IS SO SCRIPTED AND RIDICULOUS!! JESUS SOMEONE PUT SOMETHING GOOD ON TV

-Christa on July 23rd, 2012

Who cares about the ring?? The question is, will this couple go the way of Ryan and Trista (get married and stay married) or like everyone else in this sorry franchise?

Forgive my cynicism, but what’s the point of this show? This is NOT a good way to find someone to marry! Tabloid trash.

-Sally on July 23rd, 2012

Dont be a hater! Im happy for both of them! And the ring is GORGEOUS!!

-brandi on July 24th, 2012

What’s not to like about this stunning ring?! It is as elegant, old fashioned and gorgeous as she is! Jef nailed it!

-cathygf on July 24th, 2012

I think the ring is beautiful. They seem really happy.I think Emily will try her best for them to stay together..like she said she doesn’t wanna be engaged 15 times before she gets married.Prove em’ wrong Emily & Jef!!

-Lynne on July 24th, 2012

The ring is beautiful. I disagree with the person who says they will be broken up. I think Emily is a more caring and sensitive person than some of the bachelorettes of the past. I think she made the right choice, and I believe the two of them will use common sense. I think they will take their time and go about this slowly and carefully. And I really do believe they found their solemates. They’re perfect for each other.

I would just like to say to Christa–Don’t watch it if you feel it is so bad. I love the romance and I think they have their heads on streight!

-Joyce on July 24th, 2012

christa….if you don’t like it then don’t watch it. simple as that. and there are plenty of good non-reality shows on tv…

-janine on July 24th, 2012

I think we all know that when Neil comes in with only 6 rings, like he does every season it’s because she approved them all. So she would have loved any of the rings that he chose. Although he went for the BIG one!!! That’s my kind of guy. The ring is beautiful!

-Mandy on July 24th, 2012

It is a beautiful ring

-Barb on July 24th, 2012

i really loved the ring and i hope they will be happy together

-ivana on July 24th, 2012

I’m SO happy Emily picked Jef!!! He is genuine, sweet, caring, loving, compassionate, funny, romantic, a cutie pie and he will make an AMAZING husband and daddy!!!! I was pulling for him all along!!!! WTG Emily for booting Arie off and not going on a date with him and NOT ruining yours and Jef’s special day. :) I was SO proud of you for standing your ground. And what a GREAT guy Jef is to call Arie to set him straight! OMG! Arie was such a puke to fly down to SC to try and change your mind; I’ve lost any bit of respect I had for him…which wasn’t much! I didn’t like his parents either. Emily and Jef…I wish you ALL the happiness and love, including lil Ricki and the other little babies to come.. :)

-Cinderella on July 24th, 2012

Oh…I LOVED the ring too!!!! :) :) Jef did a GREAT job picking it out!

-Cinderella on July 24th, 2012

-TERRI on July 25th, 2012

I liked Jef from the very beginning when they were giving his bio before he met Emily. The proposal was beautiful.
Emily moral standards were very refreshing and an example for young girls. They make a beautiful couple. God bless.

-Praussie on July 25th, 2012

The ring is beautiful…I’d wear it in a New York heartbeat!!!! And, I want them to have a fairytale ending as well…Two nice people that display character (nothin’ wrong w/that in my book!)

-Marti Kurtz on July 25th, 2012

Jef, by all means is not a regular guy. He didn’t go on the show spouting his spiritual status but his roots and family living experiences run deep along those lines. I rather see men life Jef that display those qualities than those who spout it off and fall short yeilding to their manly harmones. Jef, at the final rose ceremony shared plans for a trip to Africa to build wells to supply life giving water to communities that are experiencing death because of the lack of it. His parents if you recall where away when she visited his hometown and I suspect strongly if they didn’t mention it that they were on a mission trip. When children are raised with compassion and awareness of Godly principles, many time they become an extention of those principles. Was it noticed that he announced that they would live separately? What a testimony of a person committed to respecting the woman they promised a future and what a statement to the world of his commitment. In addition, he submitted to moving and living in her area. How giving! Did you see where his family lived and the life offered there? Goodness! Not many women would want to vere away from that lifestyle. All in all, she was looking for someone to cover her, protect her and take care of here little girl. She found that in a package of a man who is sacrificing, giving and off to a great start already. Success to them both and who cares if there is no past recorded success from this show at all. What we saw was special. It was a very special ending that left a great deal of the fans of the show very happy for this couple. I can only hope that all her happiness cleans up her choice of words. I would perfer that a man of his stature have a woman that reflects the same good behavior as the man who chose to carry her through life. Please understand, I love her! I love that she got a little spicey but would have preferred if she used words that were approved of even her daughter’s hearing. I do believe that what we choose, our children will do in excess. That is a good guideline for living and I know she would never want her precious Ricki to be foul mouthed. I am so happy for her and sure changes like that are in her future. She found a man who can love her right where she is and lead her into a happy ever after, almost perfect future.

Sometimes I don’t know why either “The Bachelor” or “Bachelorette” are still arond! It costs millions of dollars to put on these shows the very seldom have favorable results One real marriage in how many seasons? It was froom the “Bachelorette! Although I have been a fan of both these programs and am surprised they’re still around. I’m not too much of a fan of “Bachelor Pad”. These are the losers from both the programs.

-Adela Frezza on July 26th, 2012

The ring should be beautiful for $95,000. I hope this will all work out for both of them. Take one day at a time!

-adoringlyric1 on July 29th, 2012

soooooooo, those of you with negative comments, such as not knowing why the show is still around, the show is so scripted…etc etc…why are you wasting your time posting? I LOVE THE SHOW!!!
